Insurance agent came for estimate on the damage from the deer to my truck.

$3,478.85

Going to fix it with the $478.85, sell the truck for $4,000 at the lowest, then use the $7k combined to buy a 2500hd chevy or a possibly a Nissan Titan.

So I finally got let go from my job yesterday. I knew it was coming the past 8 weeks, but didn't know how soon. It still felt like a punch in the throat though. On to bigger and better things now.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lets make a TST pinewood derby league. 1 car per season... Maybe some hawt sauce rule where you have to carve the car out of the block, no power tools.

If you guys want to organize that and can do it right, we can make a provision to do it at the meet. It would require someone taking responsibility to run the whole thing on their own though. Sounds like it could be cool if people get into it, and we could look into offering prizes for winners.

Same love me some candy poopers.
my first pinewood car my dad helped me build, don't have any pictures, but it was indy car slender, and we added a plate of lead to the bottom and used plaster to fill around and hold it on, also lowering the car.my dad then drilled out some of the lead to meat the weight specs. It was funny, after we weighed in my dad had us quick chew up a piece of gum and then stick it in some of the holes that he drilled out to add more weight. the car was a rocket. I actually might still have that car.

Anyone have a coal stove for heat? I bought a house in December and it came with a coal stove. Stoker style on a thermostat, uses rice coal. It's great because it's cheap to heat for the whole season. Bad thing is, I literally know nothing about it. It's been a lot of reading so far. But, regardless, I keep having trouble with it, and it's sooooo frustrating. It keeps going out every now and then, and I can't figure it out. One or two times it was my fault for not doing maintenance, but other than that, I'm stumped.
