Spent the weekend at MIR for World Cup Finals which is always a good time... it rained on and off Fri and Sat which totally messed with the schedule but all in all they finished most of the racing by 1am Sunday night (Monday morning).
My company sponsored the 10.0 Index class and the top qualifiers were running a 10.004, 10.007, and 10.008 I think... ridiculous. Then there was one guy in a Pro Mod car in the 10.0 Index class who just went ahead and ran a 5.95 @ 254 mph... haha. Fastest pass of the weekend and the crowd loved it. I didn't actually see the pass unfortunately.
We had Tony Niemczyk's 4G63 Dragster in our booth on display which is pretty sweet... they're running a 6.57 @ 205, the quickest and fastest 4G63 in the world. The dragster is sponsored by ExtremePSI as well as a few other companies including Fuel Injector Clinic, where I work.

In other news, anyone here shave using a double edge razor instead of a cartridge razor? My internet wanderings have me curious... closer shave for less money (after initial investment, over time)? Seems interesting, and thought I remembered some TST members chatting about it a while back.

there was a shaving thread. Initial investment isnt that much. you can get a decent handle for ~$30, and blades for about a penny a piece. have thought about it many times, but I wound up picking up a years supply of cartridge and disposables from the company that supplies Dollar Shave Club for about $25.

How do you like the dollar shave club stuff?
I've been using a Fusion Proglide setup for a while, they're nice at first but fall off quickly and they're expensive (and I'm cheap).

DSC blades arent bad. I'm using the 6 blade heads now. 6 blades is a ton of blades, and borderline unnecessary. Problem with 6 blades is that they're so close together, it makes it difficult to rinse effectively. I dont like how the handle/head combo pivots. I dont like any razors do that. I do my own shape-ups (temples, beard lines) and it annoys the **** out of me while trying to get the right curves/lines. The lube strip wears out quickly, so either oil your face before you shave, or use baby oil on the cartridge to lube it. I havent had good results with Barbasol shave cream and the DSC blades, because of how thick the shaving cream was. It wouldn't rinse well at all. I am out of my Art of Shaving shave cream, so I dont know how that would work. I'm using the Nivea sensitive skin gel now, and i'm having much better results rinsing.

Its not as close as I like, but for the price, i cant bitch too much. I was tired of spending so much money on blades to just get a couple of shaves out of them.

Hope all are doing well. We have finally found a home and are under contract. Had the inspection done and now currently in the mortgage process. It's amazing all the documents and history banks want to give out a mortgage or mortgage insurance (in my case I can only put down 10%). No wonder rentals are skyrocketing and getting hard to find. It's so annoying and stressful to own real estate. Ugh.....

All in all, I think I'm definitely going to be happy with this house. All the other homes I seemed to "settle" for. This one I can say I really like all the way through. Then again, it took about 13-15 different homes to find this one

Welp, paid off a small amount of my debt and changed plans. Looking for a shop in the 1,500 - 2000 sqft range for under $1000 a month in my general area to start doing my own thing with interiors. From seat covers to making door panels from scratch but not touching suspended headliners cause they look like poop.

I will do hot-rod headliners tho from scratch... since I learned them from the guy that supposedly invented/started them almost 30ish years ago.
