Yea, I throw a pretty good one, but I think it's a little far north because the farthest south we throw any of our meets is manalapan.

we have the small one at sonic on 38 still. It's not really a meet as much as it is a chill spot, but were on good terms with the owner of the sonic and he'll hook us up when he's there. We just can't fill up the (c)anal's lot.

That would be sweet. There was a great writeup on why Matt Powers went v8 awhile back it's hard to argue the logic though. I am an import man but the ls series is a hell of an engine.

ls series is great, but when it gets down to number crunching it really is alot of $$$. a good way of getting rid of some of that cost is using a 5.3l ls1 from a tahoe or another chevy truck. the conversion kits are a few grand tho let alone doing the harness x over, oil pan, mods etc. etc. either way tho after i get a house i plan on selling the srt for a clean blown motor FD or 350z as a start.

i believe hinson sells a s14 complete conversion kit for 4k+ before you get down to the extras here and there.

Dollar to Dollar, an LS swapped S-Chassis is within 10% of swapping in an SR with similar horsepower, IIRC.

It's not THAT expensive.

A decent amount of companies now sell the swap like sikky and the interesting thing is an ls1 actually weighs less than the ka due to aliminum versus cast iron. Plus motors like the LS series are so much simpler to work on and easier to make better power with a better powerband do to the fact that a nice n/a setup will make power whereas the ka and sr F/I is necessary.
