Well what can you expect from car enthusiasts? Hell, we're only a step above WoW addicts. There are some really strange people that are into cars.

If you further segment the entire car scene by car then you can find your niche. The demographic of, say, 2010 M3 owners will be completely different from the demographic of owners of $10,000 used Japanese imports. That's why there's so much arguing here on TST--we're comprised of all makes and models. Car-specific forums are more unified since everyone has the most important thing in common, which is they all drive the same car. Beyond that, they are all probably somewhere around the same income level and share other interests.

honestly though that kid wasn't hating on his mr2 because of what it was, he was just intimidated by the build thread i guess. thinking every aftermarket part install goes perfect and that a 20 year old car is supposed to be 100%. his ignorance and blatant bash of a FS thread was the issue.

The Nj chat thread and a few other people from Pa are the only things worth their weight on TST anymore

And has far as people acting stupid it's regardless of the car they drive etc., it's a matter of ego. I am on some luxury forums for one of my cars and than I am on hondatech for another. No matter where you go there will be people with different ideas and different levels of respect.
