I think those pictures look awesome! Just didnt know if HDR always did that, or if it was Ciottis style. Gives it that Sincity look

First and foremost, this picture was taken when it was getting dark and the clouds looked a lot like they do in the HDR. The software dials in contrast in spots where the single exposures blow out to produce extra detail there. In a single exposure where the car is the subject, the camera meters for the car to make that look good but the clouds are usually MUCH brighter as they are white and the camera isn't as good as our eyes at dealing with that brightness so the clouds blow out. Here is the single exposure of that shot with as much normal processing as I could do which shows exactly what I'm talking about...

Photomatix dials in contrast to those blown out areas from the too bright and too dark pictures and with clouds contrast = grays and the clouds then look good and angry...

Also, the cars look a lot better when you dial in extra contrast in Photomatix which in turn makes the clouds look a bit darker. Plus I like that spooky dark feel
