Thank you.

One from Ocean City today. It was FREEZING! but it sure made me miss the beach. I cant wait until summer!

Another nice shot! My beach pic is from Ocean City too haha and it was definitely freezing and very windy down there. I'm only about 20 mins from that area

what kind of flashes do you guys use? I'm really looking for a good set that I can use for shooting cars. I've looked into Alien Bees and they seem very good

Alien Bees are great but if you're just learning off-camera lighting I suggest picking up some used Vivitar 285 flashes from ebay and triggers such as Alien Bees Cybersyncs or even the Cactus triggers. You'll be able to easily learn how shutter speed and aperture combined with light placement and power can affect your image.

..unless you already know that stuff then go for the B800 or B1600!

oh yeah I've learned everything there is to know about flashes and lighting already. I just never really looked into getting any. But yeah the B800 series seems to be the one I'm leaning on

I have been interested in getting some alien bee's as well, do you know how much you would have to spend for portable power to those. If i read right all they're strobes are ac powered. so unless your photo spot has an outlet. then what. I have a vivtar 285 and a canon speed-light and they are amazing minus recycling time and the fact that they go through batteries wayyyy to fast.

your speedlight and a flash stand should be a good off camera flash to use for the time being, and it's a cheaper alternative until you upgrade.

You could pick up one of their Vagabond II batteries for around 300 but you'd have to get a used one off ebay or craigslist since the minis are out now. Those are going to be on back order for a while.
