Yeah, even though he's been my dads boss for 20+ years and a longer family friend, i can't take chance. his wife still has the company but he was a vital part.

theres your answer right there. Stress of the wedding, and stress from work. Do you have any time off coming up? How about you and your bride to be just do a day trip somewhere? Whenever i'm feeling stressed like that, i take a ride down to wildwood, or anywhere, just to get away for a couple hours and clear my head.

One of my best friends is getting married on April 24th, and he's stressing out beyond belief.

I usually don't let it bother me. People are entitled to their opinions, just as I or anyone else is. I think myself a pretty reasonable person. I could never imagine myself grabbing someone else's arm and saying "I do not approve of this." It's rude and tacky to push your opinions of what you think is "acceptable" to do to one's body. It just sucked being put in the situation I was put in yesterday. The degrading manner in which they talked to me about it made me feel like ****. But, being that this is my boss, I just have to take it. I think that it is very generational and people our parents age and older have a harder time understanding and dealing with it.

On the upside, she didn't say that I have to cover them up, which is good. It's going to be hot as hell in the warehouse today and there is to way I'm going out there all bundled up.

What time you think you'll be there? I'm grabbing dinner with my cousin and then maybe I'll stop by.

that is funny. even if its not a couple days, a couple hours of just getting away and clearing your mind works wonders.

You dont have to just sit and take it. Look through your employee handbook, and see if there is anything in there about exposed tattoos. Depending on whats in there, you may be able to go to your HR rep about being talked to/treated like you were. If it happens more than once, it can be considered harassment (only after you have told them to stop)

i agree with Jim, Susie. you don't have to take it.

they don't have to like it... but as long as the employee handbook says nothing about tattoos they need to keep it to themselves. I certainly can't show my contempt to the fat heffers walking around here b/c they're fat. well... we don't really have any fat heffers... but you get my point

Meh. I doubt anything will be said again about it. But, if it becomes an issue, then I will talk to someone. Like I said, I feel it's very generational and they just don't know how to handle. The times are a changin'.
