My father and I pride ourselves in our product, so I promise you won't be disappointed if you come. We cater to a certain market. While we can make good rolls (and "creative" ones if you ask) my Father along with most Japanese chefs believe that sushi should not be so overcomplicated with overpowering tastes like spicy sauce, or deep frying rolls in tempura batter. Still, if you like that stuff I can make it (he won't) since as a business owner I believe that it's a fatal move to completely disregard a huge market segment like the young people who eat those rolls.

I treat food as an adventure so I'm open to pretty much anything. And I can appreciate the delicate flavors and textures of a well prepared fish. Plus I'm not a huge fan of soy sauce lol.

and on topic....

Is it blurring because your shutter is too slow or are you moving out of focus? I can't even imagine shooting at 1.4....shooting at 1.8 is already a retardedly shallow DOF. The photo above was shot at f/2.0.

I agree...I have the 50 1.8 and as awesome of a lens as it is....I seldom shoot at 2 or less.

i think either moving out of focus, or i am moving very slightly when i hit the shutter. I've noticed this at even higher speeds too. though, at f/2.8 i don't have that same issue. i think i need more practice at f/1.4

i have the 50 1.8 as well, for 100 bucks it does its job. But it comes with the qaulity you would expect to see for $100...

Any time I can shoot at 1.4 I will, the lower the aperture the better for me...

I've had it before. It's a great walk-around lens and good in low light. Very sharp and quiet too. I've been thinking of picking one up again since i have been shooting weddings and other events recently with only primes

thanks for the info. It seems like a really good multipurpose buy. but i saw a lot of nasty reviews for it. primarily for an issue it has with back focusing.
