What's the point in telling "kids" that their cars suck? Kids can't afford to do anything big, and they shouldn't. They should be enjoying their life before they grow up and begin to have real responsibilities.

That evo looks like it was built from the ground up. If it wasn't for art posting, the ams watermark, the 4g head with the cam gears on the wrong side, and the 8/9 fenders, I prob wouldn't of even recognized what that car was lol.

What made you guys all wanna build a car in the first place? You saw some awesome car that made your jaw drop so you decided to build one too?

So what you're saying is, if you didn't know it was an Evo by all of those things that identify it as being an Evo, you wouldn't know it was an Evo?

I was never one for looks, so thats why i got into mitsubishis, prolly the only platform where 90+% of the comunity thinks body kits/ stretched tires/wings are gay. Only reason i started modding my cars is because i wanted to learn how to do everything on the car by myself. Without being labeled a mechanic or anything like that. Not to mention I want a car that is fast, looks make no difference to me, as long as the body isnt rusted and the paint isnt too ****ed up. Between all the cars I own now, i could be driving some sort of beemer or have a civic as a daily driver. But honestly if I'm daily driving something it has to be fast and it has to be turbo. Sometimes its a really tough balance to find and building a fast 4 cylinder thats 20 years old and still have it reliable enough to drive 30+ minutes to work every day is difficult.

And I dont really think he ruffled anybodys feathers, Dustin has only tickled the nut sack of what it takes to mod a car. To me hes still just a kid looking in to what it takes to have a sick car.

From what ive gathered on the Modded Mitsus from this area... ive learned this.

If its riced out, it's NA.
Most turbo mitsu's that are modded have a bigger drivetrain mod list than visual mod list.(most...fujito)
If it looks stock with a big fmic, its prob fast.
Evo's are quick except for when they are on flatbeds.
DSM's can be very fast if they dont crankwalk.
And if it's a black evo x with expensive visual parts, it's most likely fujito.

Mine is still pretty fast, and it's got cams yo.

not gonna lie tho, your Evo X is probably the sexiest Evo X i've seen. Ever. Except maybe a few of the ones over in Japan that have like over a hundred grand under the hood.

I bought my 97 Talon before I even knew that there was a turbo model or what a DSM was. After I realized that I could not swap it, the search was on. They're cheap, there's a ton of aftermarket parts, and for the most part, the community is full of knowledgable people with fast cars. There's alot of other platforms I'd like to explore, but the 4G is just so freakin' stout, that I'd likely be swapping whatever chasis it was that I ended up with.
