I have a strange love for their onion rings because they're sweet.... I will be parking my car far far away from the rest of the cars, lol. Wouldn't want to ruin a shot of cool cars with my hunka poop

I'm not sure why some people are trying to pick this apart. Same meet, just doing a lot more good for the community. There's nothing confusing or difficult about it at all... just get excited and save the date, and plan on coming out and having a good time the same as years past.

Year 1 and 2 were planned by completely different people, and they decided to name the event the TST Sonic Run, which I had nothing to do with at all. They weren't interested in continuing the meet afterwards because it does require quite a bit of time, even in its simplest form.
Year 3 Jon stepped up with no prior attachment to the event. The turnout was big, and very successful even in the rain. I am curious about the details on the 'record donations' that were collected. I was the one who was pushing for doing something for charity which was originally shot down, but then a food drive was added in before the event. I'm not aware of any donation other than canned food, but I'm sure it broke the record of 0 the previous two years.

This year we want to do something AWESOME. We want to build on what was founded here on TST 4 years ago and make the most of it. The quality of the event will not be compromised, in fact I'm confident it will be better from a larger attendance and people winning things like free tint jobs, alignments, dyno pulls, and car parts from raffles throughout the day.

Originally in year 1 and 2, TST's name was in the name of the event and we didn't do that this year, so I'm not sure what anyone could try to twist out of that, its actually placed quite small on the flyer at the bottom. This IS a TST event, its where things have always been organized and centered around, but thats really not whats important on the flyer.

This is going to be an awesome meet... all the good of the past years, plus some. We're growing and improving on things each year, as we should.

Oh and I agree that TST is a product of its members... you guys are what make it and as these types of discussions show, those of you who spend your time here feel quite passionately about what takes place here. We have a huge amount of respect and consideration for that, and any forum decisions are made with the members in mind.

that what i usually do if i bring the durango to meets

but, since the roads should be clear by then, i see no reason why i can't bring the mugen out. or maybe i'll bring the hatchback out, if it's done by then

i understand the business aspect of taking a well known meeting place and date... but it doesn't sound like anyone that originated it was involved at all... and that's a shame. this isn't the 4th annual TST sonic meet... this is the first. Jon and whomever else, Chaz, etc, planned the meet without it being a forum specific affair.

i'm going to go still... not because of who is throwing it... but because my friends will be there.
Don't get me wrong, I'm with you. But that just isn't reality. I'll be there too. I don't care who is planning it. TST would be community owned if it were a collaboration of forums and sites that all had the TST badge. Then nobody officially owns TST and it's just a concept. I just hope more stuff like this doesn't happen in the future because otherwise this dictatorship hasn't really been an issue.

Holy. Effing. Crap. I am so bored lol

2 good movies to check out: Escanaba In Da Moonlight and (don't get offended, it was interesting) The Confederate States of America. (About what the US would be like had the south won the civil war)

The awesome part is right for sure. Think I'm going to use my gift cards this week to purchase gears and bearing rebuild kit.

It's not really a fair comparison now that the m3 has been rebuilt (but it felt very good before too, lagos can vouch). That said, for the age the 3000gt is better than any domestic I've ever owned. I wanted a GTO so I waited until they aged a bit. Saw one on a lot the other day. 05 with 38,000 miles. Already I found 9 rust spots, paint chipping, all kinds of deterioration. I'd love an american muscle car. I just wish they were half decent. But 3000gt burns rich, won't pass emissions, exhaust leaks, wheels look like hell, can't handle it's own power (238hp fwd), leaks oil, has belt tensioning issues, ran like **** (though it's been improving with every little fix I make since I got it), has wiring issues which killed the tail lights, bad seats, etc. The M3 has had things go but overall the car feels young and vibrant, paint is perfect, runs properly, etc. So yeah I'd say the BMW's age VERY well compared to other cars.
