Heh, yeah. I am actually picking him in an hour and we're going to go test drive some cars as he needs a new one.

And my BMW is slow, but comfortable and is a boat.

I could have a car with 600whp and i still would not be able to launch it and do a quarter mile under a 20 seconds.

I learned to drive a manual when I was 14. Don't have any issues with starting off on a hill.

i just bought a manual car and drove it around until i got it. i stalled all over the place the first few hours, but after that i was good to go.

I learned how to drive manual when i was 15ish in a Fiat on an uphill driveway. The only words of wisdom i got were mash the gas and make it go forward.....you cant hurt anything.

It took me a while to learn to do that. I always either had to much gas or to much clutch. I couldn't find that balance between the two.
