After a failed inspection, decided to completely redo the suspension. The struts have been blown for awhile, since B never bothered upgrading 'em back in the day when he put on the no-name coilovers .. So now, working on rectifying that mistake.

Putting on Tokico Illumina struts and H&R Race springs. The springs are rated at 450F/360R .. but I figure it can't be much worse than riding on ****ty coilovers and blown struts. Besides, soft spring rates are boring.

Suspension operation will start on Monday. VERY excited, haven't driven the car in two weeks -- it's been sitting at the shop.

I like the rear bumper and side skirts that were on it a lot better than the stock one. lol Should have kept them on. Kool project but I liked it better the way it was.

great job de-ricing it. it's nice and clean now. the older i get, the more i can relate to "less is more". Still not sure about the wing. it doesn't look bad but i'd consider a lower one or nothing.

Great choice in suspension.

Illuminas were my #1 choice in strut a few years ago. You notice a BIG difference when adjusting them from soft to hard.

Wish they made Illuminas for my xA.

Car's looking good, though! Nice work on bringing it back to life.

Thanks, guys! I'm pretty pleased overall with the progress that's been made so far -- but it seems like for each thing I 'correct', I find something else that B ghetto-rigged that I need to fix. I almost feel like I need to take the car to see a therapist by this point, after seeing all the abuse and humiliation it's been put through, LOL.

Still, it keeps my itchy hands away from my G -- which is simply too expensive to dig into before I graduate college.

I hate the wing. I'd get rid of it in a heartbeat if I could find a way to do it that wouldn't require patching & repainting. I'm on Ebay and Craigslist constantly, looking for a nearby Del Sol with a stock wing that might want to trade.

I don't really know what to say to this.

About 160K. A hell of a lot of miles, but it keeps on going.

another option instead of finding a stock wing is finding a stock trunk without a wing. I see Miata trunks all the time for under $40
