Eh, +/- can be affected by many things. Obviously, they played like garbage for the better half of this season, with the $100 million man not doing anything. He was, what, -27 at one point?

Since January the team's been on fire, one of the hottest teams in the league, can't deny it. Kovy's startin to do his part, wracking up the points. But his +/- isn't increasing (or rather, decreasing) too much because he's often being double shifted with 4th liners. He'll go +1 on one shift with the 1st line and -1 with the bottom line. The stat itself doesn't necessarily indicate how well or poorly a player is doing.

Oh no, no trash talking required here. The flyers are clearly the dominant team this year, and Stanley Cup favorites imo. Adding versteeg adds the ridiculous forward depth that the flyers already had.

I'm merely being objective when evaluating the devils / kovalchuk. I'm not gonna stop watching or caring because the team is having an off year, ya know?

+/- doesn't mean much anyway. It doesn't count powerplay, penalty kill, or any odd man situation. Kovalchuk will prove that he is worth a lot more than people would think this year. People don't give him enough credit. I like him a lot, I've met him and talked to him and he's definitely not one to accept anything short of what he's capable of doing

This is strange for me because I am usually fighting with rangers fans because where I live they are all over the place.

I also agree with this 200%. Maclean was horrible he did not do his job what so ever, I enjoy Lamaire as a coach so much more because he gets very involved with the team.
