It's not as bad as the monstrosity Subaru calls Legacy. However, if Subaru spent any time listening to folks on the Legacy forums the 2010 body wouldn't have lasted past the 2010 model year. Subaru is about sales numbers, not pleasing the current Legacy community or getting repeat Legacy buyers. They appeased to the masses of blue hairs and middle age folks looking for a cheap Lexus wannabe and are reaping the benefits. It's hard to blame them from an economic standpoint, their pockets are stuffed. So who cares about the old Legacy owners? I glad I'm not looking at Subaru for my next purchase, if I were, I'd be WORRIED.

Subaru will always have die hard "my platform was the best ever" fans.
Nothing wrong with it.
I never liked the 08-up body style all that much, but it grew on me.
The 11 should HOPEFULLY help to bridge the gap.
As far as the new leggys go, it's kind of like the 08 impreza all over again.
Hate it or love it, there are two camps. Is it going to win everyone over, of course not.
It's not aimed at Lexus. Camry,Accord,Altima/Maxima & maybe a few domestics.
We both enjoy the 6 more than the 2.5T from her old OBXT and the ride is pretty nice. (needs sways, endlinks & 18x8s )
I can't wait for the driving event we're gonna have with the new cars.
Track time with a pro in the old car & then the new one will be fun

I actually really like the look of the new legacy. They're moving away from the mainstream again, which is what gave them such a loyal fanbase in the beginning.

Captainhook & I are slowly jacking this thread. Hahaha
can we move the LEGACY discussion to MY thread please?
http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ad.php?t=94544

I hate to thread Jack, & the thread I linked to seems a good enough place to consider Legacy discussion. ALL are welcome to pop over and chime in on the new LEGGY

The 2010 Legacy is moving away from the mainstream??? Thank you for reminding me it's impossible to have an intelligent discussion on this forum . . . I forgot there for a couple hours. My mistake.

Thread . . . carry on.

Getting a little defensive just because someone's opinion is different then yours.

Let's keep this thread on topic about the new WRX and keep the Legacy talk to the aforementioned Legacy thread.

The more I look at the pictures the more I wish they would have changed something on the grille. It's a little to family sedan Subaru as compared to the rest of the car now.

Yeah, Don you're right.

I'd change the grill, headlights, fogs, that funky air dam by the wheel well (it looks like pep boys crap)
the right bottom corner window frame on the B glass
the crease between the rear fender flare and the door (wtf is that for?)
the taillights shape (looks like an econo car)

yeah, i know i'm being picky here but the car's design is just too damn busy with unnecessary creases, lines, and tack ons that it boggles my mind how a professional designer would give it an ok.

I don't think the headlights are bad if you change some of the things around them. Agree about the tails and yeah the vent around the fog is more then enough they didn't need another one next to it in front of the wheel. The integrated hood scoop still bugs me but that is a personal prefrence on my part not a design thing really. Oh and after ten years they could do something a little more with the spoiler, who are we Mitsubishi? lol I would totally rock a set of those rims btw.

I do like those rims!

To be honest...chop off the front half of the car right before the windsheild and start the F over, Subaru. haha

Fix the creases in the rear and the rear taillight layout, it's ugly.

I don't like how the headlights use two different design themes. I think thats my issue with the car overall. Either you use smooth contouring shapes or you use sleek and sharp creases. You don't mix the two, it looks like the car doesn't know what its there for. The headlights have sleek sharp creases mixed in with these swoopy lines...I hate that.

Mitsu changed the wing on the X! haha

i never liked the 4 door model in this gen in the first place. this hasnt changed my mind. the front fascia is the part of the car that i like but something about the trunk and the rear end is a turn off for me. my vote is still with the hatch

Must be something in the air, but my wife - who hated Subie's, now likes them. I don't know, I always kinda thought they were cool. Does this mean she's starting to agree with me - holy sh!t!
