Dont forget to take the insurance cost into account.

You could pickup a nice GC8 2.5RS for what your looking at spending.

Mini. Cheap to own, really cheap to insure and it's plenty fun. Just saw an 07 S with 25K on it for $10K in the autotrader.

As an owner of both an S2k and 350z, I'm suggesting you lean toward the S2k. By far...more fun to drive 'spirited' and probably more reliable with the higher mileage. In either case, try to find a clean 'unmodded' S2k if you have to go high mileage to hit your price range. Out of the box, it is an insane car to drive. If you have to do a lot of interstate travel...the Z is better.

Have you considered the MR2 ? Thats reliable and fun too.

Good Luck with your decision. Sorry you find S2k owners 'Douches". We're not all douches, and I wouldn't let that stop me from buying a car anyway.

...or pick up a base or sxt model charger. i love mine. ive seen some really cheap but with high miles. only thing is you'd be stuck with an automatic. just throwing it out there that the charger is a great car and fun to drive

I have a few friends who have em,and they complain about space sometimes too.
But i see it this way
-I have 2 trucks and an explorer to use at almost anytime at home
-I never really take more then one other person
-Im only 150lbs of muscle and about 5'10" so im not a big guy by any means.

Anyone have any idea besides the usual autotrader/cars/etc to find used ones online, that are going to be somewhere between 13k and lower?

The WRX is fun. In stock form its 227hp, with a turbo back exhaust, catless up pipe, and an OS reflash it bring you just under 300hp (cheap way to do it, ebay TBE = $250 shipped in the US, bang the guts outs of ur stock up pipe, and get a tactrix cable on NASIOC.com used for $100 and use rom raider and ecuflash to put on an OTS stage 2 map)

Just make sure u dont get one that was beaten like a red headed stepchild because second gear is easy to break if you dont know how to drive it.

What about 300zx? ofcourse there older, but if you dug deep you could find one that was twin turbo with decent miles.. just a note.. and there mad fun to drive. i was also thinking about the acura rsx type s.. you could definately find a decent one in your price range.. i know you said impor, but heres a nice mustang on philly CL thats 6cyl turbo, it looks nasty.. just saying, good luckk

also something you should know. when you put it in reverse you have to push down on the shifter atleast the 2005 s2k's are that way.(i keep putting it in 6th lol wondering why it wasnt working haha)
