There are always dumbasses that are going to ruin it for everyone...from this to the dude with the sock in the BMW...and well lets not talk about the Honda name cause well, thats destroyed...

I feel bad for the SRT-4 guys...cause it seems like there are a lot of assholes with them now and doing anything that is going to ruin the name. I am just happy I rarely see my year civic on the road anymore (99-00). Thank god they only made it for 2 years....Although we have 2 turbod Civic Silver Ex's on the board now and 1 more added in the next two months!!!

Is there anyone with a farely stock SRT-4 on this board? Cause when I am turboed I wanna know how I run up against one!...Any challengers? haha

There are a few Honda people who hold redeeming qualities.

Yeah there are some crazy stuff with the honda guys....Hopefully I will have a reliable 275-300 hp car...thats all I am looking for, then comes the real project.....

Heh...after I'm finished with the WRX, I might do a K20 Integra. But I may end up doing a B18C5 with heavy mods and keep it N/A.
But thats in the distant future and my project car of choice might change by then.

steve my car has stage 1 and an intake but its mostly stock. i'll race you. my mods should off set the weight difference

That's insane, probably worse than the VW owner who put coolant in his car for oil.

Good thread though. It stinks SRT-4's are getting a bad name from some people, I still respect the cars. 12's with basic mods is pretty nasty, same with electronic wheelie bars

yea the cars can be made pretty fast (well 12's) with barely any money put into them (ghetto mods). but its the kids who think they can beat a cobra with a BOV that really ruin what the srt-4 has going for it.

i think the rsx kid who asked about his turbo wins for stupidity. some kid bought an entire turbo system and more or less bolted in the turbo and the intercooler. then when he turned it on he wondered why the car wasnt boosting. when somone asked him to check his pipes for a boost leak the kid replies "i didnt put the pipes on yet, i wanted to make sure the turbo worked first, why would i need the pipes on for it to work?" i had to go home from work cause i **** my pants laughing. i'll see if i can find the link again.

Sounds good Henry I think with the turbo setup I am going for I heard I should hit mid-high 13's, which I am pretty happy about. I am always down for a race...We should all plan a trip to Atco or cecil sometime in march.

I have the best idiot story straight form Honda-tech. About a month ago this guy post up a thread "Whats wrong...No boost!?!?"...I saw there was over 50 replies and I was like I have to see what the hell is going on....So I go in the thread and the guys says..."Ok guys I just got my headers from DC Sports 4-2-1, AEM Intake, test pipe, full Apexi N1 catback and a used Turbonetics Turbo off ebay. Me and my buddy installed the test pipe and exhaust but we don't understand how the turbo bolts up to the headers...we tried taking them apart but they don't bolt right up...Am I doin soemhting worng?"....

I think I almost **** myself laughing, I had to walk outside of work and breathe cause I was laughing so hard....needless to say the replies in that thread were funny as hell.
