c63 done today. did the chrome around the windows, and the wood interior bits.

all pics are taken during the job. i always forget to take final pictures.
you'll notice edges and stuff that are not sealed yet.

Here is something cleared. HIGH BUILD brush on ACRYLIC works best. this is one coat. Will have something with 5 or 6 coats tomorrow or the next day.

spray on clear chips. you can roll the piece up after the acrylic, it WILL NOT FLAKE.

my buddy who owns a body shop swears he can clear this, and even on things like bumpers and lips.
we'll see what he can do soon.

What spray clear chips? Send me something small wrapped in this and I can clear it and have it sent right back the next day. Im curious on the results. I didnt realize how EXPENSIVE this material is though. I pay only $43 for real cf per lineal yard and thats 60" wide.

I meant spray clear acrylic, sorry. Home depot stuff.
The brush on was home depot stuff too. Worked well. Needs more coats.

I have a family friend that paints, I promised him I would show it to him and let him try first. He has all sorts of crazy ideas.
PM me your address though, and I'll send you a sample.

Convienience over real carbon comes with a price i guess, haha. It's expensive because of how new/easy to use/rare/3M branded it is.
Believe me, I'd like the price to drop for everyone too.

This is very cool stuff. I would be interested in seeing some more interior 'bits' wrapped (like the C63). I have some stuff on my Porsche that id consider wrapping - just would depend on the 'removal' or it for resale.

Only one way to find out.

I say we do it in black and white carbon. black carbon bumpers, fenders, doors, 1/4s, rear. white carbon roof, hatch, hood.
