I ran Atco that same night in my wrx and ran 13.1, no launch though. so i'd say don't rev up too high and burn clutch or tire, just try to get down the track without the glorious launch and you should be in the 12's without a doubt. I remember you loosing traction on the blvd next to me at almost any speed, that's why I say what I say. If that doesn't work, call me and I'll drive that sh!t right onto the 12's for ya. lol

Tryin and get a 16" wheel for the back. And run a MT DR.Than make sure ur e-brake can hold ur car and preload so you can come out on boost. If you cut that 2.1 to a 1.7 that 4tens by the 60 ft and that be 8tens in the 1/4.So you be in around a 12.5.....try a tire around 26" to 27" tall it will help ur gear.

Good point. I was just under the impression that in FWD and RWD the loss was 10-15%, 20-25% with AWD, but I don't remember when and where I read this.

Good stuff man, best bet is to keep going back and trying over and over. As for tires, just search out any brand name drag radial and Eventually you'll find one good for you. I'd also post this on the G35 forums to get more car specific advice.
2 things to remember -During test and tune's you DON'T have the leave right when the light goes green. The timer starts soon as you go. -Also, You can "over" heat the tires during a burn out. Just let the tires spin with no breaking, once car pulls forward let off. Good luck man, car looks good in your avatar too!

i think u can get the 12's now it was hot as hell the day we went, but also since its colder it will be harder to get a good launch u will probably spin a lot

Usually get the best runs right after the sun sets. Cooler air while the track temps are still high. I pull consistant 1.7 60's on stock tires no less.
Regardless- as someone else mentioned you should be trapping higher with that much power. I dyno'd at 345hp/360ftlbs at the wheels and have been trapping between 113-115. I actually should be 117-119 but my tune leans out at the top of 3rd.

trap speeds are not completely about power and weight, it also has to do with gearing, and shift points, if ur granny shifting ur trap speed will be lower, if u bounce of the limiter ur also gonna have a lower speed and time. sticky tires will help, tire pressure also has to do with ur trap speed, lower pressure will help u get off the line better but will give u lower speeds where as higher pressure will make u spin more off the line but give u a higher ending speed, it may only be 2-4 mph difference. and of course the way ur car is tuned plays a major role, two cars can have the exact same mods and exact same hp(not likely) and be tuned by different people and run different times and speeds

i think we should go at least once more before the end of the season. i want to see what i can run on a day where i get a few runs in and can mess with the tune a little bit and play with the boost
