That sucks man. I saw an even worse job on 350Z.

But even with your agreement, I would never pay less than expected on a paint job. Quality and cheap don't go hand in hand when it comes to paint jobs and body work. You pay for what you get.

Dude get a DA and some 2000grit.......that looks REALLLLY ****ty right now but it can look a hell of alot better if you start wetsanding.

It's obvious that this "painter" didn't have a ****ing clue what he was doing. Either the paint wasn't reduced enough or he just slapped it on WAYYY too thick. An experienced painter should have realized the paint wasn't atomizing enough coming out of the gun.

Some Lacquer thinner will take that over spray off too.

That's ****ty. If you don't have an official written estimate than you don't have any legal standing though. Everything is hearsay. But you DEFIANTLY should get your money back.

not to pile on, but DAMN! that is like the worst haircut i've ever seen on a human being. but worse. Easily worst "pro" paint job i've ever seen.

U dont' need a lawyer, just take pics of everything, try to write down the story, agreement, etc... Just go to small claims court in your jurisdiction. You should easily win and be able to recover whatever you paid them, + the cost to fix the job. GL OBEE!

b/c if that's the case i think you should pay me.

ha ha na. does the body on your car have about 40 dents like his did there was only so much my dad could do with it after all the work he put into it. over 70 hours just in body work he needed a new front bumper. he made the body straight he sent us three pics to fix on his car and my dad wasnt gonna let it leave the shop with just fixing the three dents.he was trying to make it look good you know like the body straight, so he could get some work from it. ob stoped at the shop before it was sprayed and said dont worry about all the dents its a track car any way. i told him i was sorry about the seat and that it just needs to be wiped off its just from wet sanding the primer i just forgot to look at the back of the seat.

Last edited by 96zenki; 07-01-2009 at 06:17 PM. Reason: don't want to reveal this dude without ob's permission.
