Haha, I love how everyone who has a business making over $250,000/year is behaving like this is the end of the world for a 3% tax increase. I find it quite hilarious.

Horrible thread made by a complete tool chest.
He said he would. And everyone at the time that voted for him agreed. I distinctly remember people on this board saying that the economy will get better IMMEDIATELY when Obama get's in office. However, every time he talks, the stock market drops more and more. Who would have thought that people dealing with money don't like socialist idea's.

He also said that he would pull everyone out of Iraq within 6 months. Now it's 19 months, 30,000-50,000 will remain, and he will continue Bush's plan of slowly adding forces to Afghanistan. So much for that LIE.

How about NO MORE PORK SPENDING!!! LMAO, what a joke. Lots of "you" suckers believed him. I told you so.

He said that he was going to cut government spending. You all believed him on that also, but you can't say you weren't warned that wasn't going to happen.

How about no more lobbyists in DC? See the above.

And where is that CHANGE that he promised for DC? The one without corrupt officials? How many is he up to now? I lost count.

At the end of this, all that some of us will be able to say is, "...told ya so".

And this is just flat out interesting...another one of those things that would be amusing if it weren't so sad.

I haven't listened to Rush Limbaugh a second in my life.

If you go back and read other "political" threads, I have no problem having a civil debate.

With that said, you might want to consider this... "Pot, kettle black...."

Bingo. Thats what it all boils down to.

We live in an economy where the rich try to control everything, and will to do anything in their power to keep the poor people poor. 2/3rds of our senators are millionaires and so are the corporations that own the news media. They are all willing to say or do everything in their power not to have to pay one penny more, while at the same time, they have no problem sucking you dry of everything you have.

What a lame thread, Of course nothing changed it's been 2 friggin months.

And you guys blaming Clinton for the credit problems, the issue went unchecked and out of control during Bush 2's administration. That's what happens when an administration has tunnel vision though, I should start a thread called WHERE"S THOSE WMD'S AT??

I didn't say that.

Something definitely should have been done about it when the negative effects started showing up ( several analysts noted the growing problems in the early 00's, while there was still a chance to save ourselves.) Most of the bad mortgages weren't taken out during the Clinton years, they were signed during Bush's terms. I don't know anyone who got foreclosed on that took a mortgage out before 2000.

no the problem is someone actually thought it would be good idea to let people get a mortgage that obviously could not/should not afford it. Its rediculous.

while noble idea, it was stupid.

Captain of the ship is responsible for its sinking. Clinton was in power for 8 years, and even with all the decisions he made, the economy was in good shape. If there were any problems with bad policy, it was Bushes job to change it when he came into power. The housing "crisis" happened at the end of bushes 8th year in power. Thats 16 years after Clinton first became president.

But in all seriousness, no, I didn't get any extra money. That was good though. I thought it was supposed to be $13/week anyway?

And you better save that money for gas! It's expected to go up nearly $2/GALLON under Obama's carbon tax plan. So while he is giving you back $7/week, you're paying $20/week extra. And don't forget your energy bill, expected to go up nearly 80 percent!!!! Oh well, win some, lose some. But hell, at least you will still be getting that extra 7 dollars back (and the sarcasm was noted, it really did make me smile)!!!

...which went on unchecked during the bush administration, which, in a huge part, propagated a lot of the problems we're having.

Have you checked out Obama's new plan by chance????????

I'm just curious. If you thought that Clinton was bad for signing it, Bush was bad for letting it go unregulated, how do you feel about Obama giving out even more mortgages to people that can't afford it????

At this point, I don't know your stance.

What, the loan modification for people who bought before the 1st of this year? I'm not a huge fan as there are several other plans that I felt were superior to it, Jim Cramer had a good one I think. It's not the worst out there though.

I'm not aware of any legislation for new mortgages that's further along then just talking at this point. The root part of the problem has already worked itself out, lenders won't (or shouldn't) sign bad loans anymore. But I haven't done much reading on the subject.

Thank you once again Mr Stock.

How is the 'carbon tax' going to help ANYONE/ANYTHING?? except for the companies owned by Gore and his buddies?

It's not the end of the world, however it is a lot of money. Money that I know that I would sure love to give to my own family. Money that I know I would sure love to give to a buddy of mine who is losing his home. Money that I would love to maybe stuff in a mattress for a rainy day(right now). I would love to provide my nieces and nephews with a good education with my money.

Instead I have to give it to the government, to spend on some crack whore with 20 kids, and her cousin octomom. Some of it will go to some completely irresponsible moron that is losing their house..and before it even gets there, the gov't will have blown at least half of it on some POS union employees to direct that money in the right direction. Ridiculous.

If you love taxes so much, why are you paying so little? Surely you can come up with a little extra.
