And all this talk about keys and Vin numbers is a moot point for older hondas. Certain shaved down honda keys will get thieves into any older Honda/Acura. And WTF are you guys talking about photocopying pink slips? Who even breaks out there title at a meet. Some of the garbage that is posted on this site is unreal.

no one was talking about breaking out a title at a meet... you've got to read more carefully before you want to try and put someone down there buddy...

i agree to this. i had someone try to steal my lexus a few months after having it. i dont think they got inside the car but even if they did, there is no way they could start it without having the key fob in the car. the only possible way to do it is to flat bed the car away which ive actually seen happen on the clublexus forums. |

Id just like to point out that this kind of stuff only happens between Honda owners where you have a bunch of poor 18yr old kids that are willing to do anything to have that car, or even just your radiator.
I street park my car everywhere and never had a single issue.

Every car community has thieves. What, you think that when someone sells their Honda and buys an EVO all of the sudden they grow morals?

Ok I should have said that no one was seriously talking about titles/pinks... but whatever not a big deal.
And yeah hondas suck, but if there was no market for stolen parts then the thieves wouldnt do what they're doing. You need to kill the demand (people buying stolen stuff either because they dont care or because they're naive/ignorant) and then the "suppliers" (the people stealing stuff) will die out. If it wasn't so easy for them to sell this stuff they wouldn't be doing it...

I challenge you to find me one case of an STI owner, who had something from his car stolen by another STI owner. Not a random thief at a mall parking lot who stole an ipod, but an actual STI owner, who broke into another STI owners car to steal his performance mods or his actual car. I remember going to a meet a year ago, and some integra guy was all covering his plates, and acting really worried and stuff. And I just though to myself, man my car is no only faster then yours, but also worth more money... and you're the one who's worried? lol Meanwhile we had supras, evos', bmw's, etc... all there and no one even imagined of thinking such things. Seriously, the people who are doing this are 16-18yr old kids, with zero income, that just have to have that civic or that radiator or that muffler...

Brass knuckle belt buckle and police baton in the door card. Other than that I dont really go to big meets.
Only big meet I attended was the TST TFT run and Im pretty sure if my car was stolen there the thief would rot in hell.

Exactly what i said about shady dealerships making a key with little to no imformation, i wasnt lying. Also, eurotrashed, you're a ****. I forget what meet it was, but regardless, pulling someone from their car and beating them up/stealing their car is ****ing gay. I dont care what kind of car it is, or what kind of a car you drive. The owner worked hard for that car, go back to being a vw fanboi and shut the hell up.
