a febreeze bottle won't help ur breathe and hide that odor for long. and plus if u hav money problems like most of us do imagine how much money u could save by not smoking. i saved like 60 bucks a month when i quit smoking. that should be the 2nd reason you smokers should quit after ur health.

the act of smoking is trashy... it says a lot when you know how illogical it is and the bad effects it has, but you still choose to do it.

I try not to smoke in front of people who don't enjoy it...

Bry, I even went outside in the rain so the smoke wouldn't blow back into your warehouse lol

i started smoking from stress, then boredom. ive quit 2 times for about 2 months each time. the first time i was really sick for days and tried smoking. it was so sickening i just stopped. 2nd time i just stopped and picked my gum habit back up. i want to quit again because its gotten rediculous since ive worked in a restaurant.

just because i like cigarettes doesn't mean they are a substitute for something else...if you ask any girl smoker i'm pretty sure they'll say that's a really stupid assumption to make. smoking is a personal decision, if you don't like it then stay away from me when i have a cigarette, and i'll stay away from you when i'm smoking. simple as that.

and febreze actually takes odors out of fabric if you buy the right one, it doesn't make you smell like the actual febreze.

just a quick question though. did u ever think of all the **** it will cause down the road? or u rather just feel stress free now?

ain't like stress will ever go. sayin this in just a nice way nothing negative but ur crzy if u think smoking helps u relieve stress. u just become accustomed to thinking that.

same here, julz. regardless of where i am or who i'm with someone smokes and its so hard to sit there and say "no, i'm not going to smoke" when you smell it or see it.

i dont think most people WANT to smoke. i think it becomes a habit thats very difficult to break. its proven that smoking is addictive, as many things are.
the best way to quit is to know in your mind you HAVE to quit.

like dan's said throught this whole thing.. find a lifetime goal, something that wont disappear... and look towards that. find a way to tie that in with quitting.

completely agreed. you need to want to quit more than you want to smoke.

as everyone already knows, i smoke. i've been smoking for years. currently, i have no desire to quit. but i support anyone who does. for me, i need to find something that gives me a valid reason to quit. someone i love wanting me to stop, having a child, something life changing.
until then i'll be stupid, because yes, i know smoking is stupid.
maybe i'll fall out of the habit, because i've been smoking a lot less.
i've literally been getting bored of it.
but things are different for everyone.

julz, the main thing is, is finding something that can keep your mind focused. you shouldnt need to get rid of your smoking friends, or stay away from the smell of smoke... your will should be strong enough to direct you away from cigarettes even around that.

my dad smoked for 35 years and he finally quit because when he married my mom, she asked him to stop. but when he is under a lot of stress, he'll smoke. he used to deny the fact that he still smoked until recently, when he even offered me a cigarette while we were talking outside. but my dad has the control to smoke once a month or once every few months and no a pack a day like he used to because he's learned to control himself.

the thing i find easiest, is everyone i know, knows that i smoke. my friends, my family, my boyfriend. and by not hiding it, i know i will have more support when i chose to quit because everyone will be behind me, helping me out.

julz, are you going to be at exton on friday?

sadly, nothing forces you to buy/bum, light, and inhale cigarettes. so it is your choice, addiction or not. people who say the are addicted to cigarettes just do not have a big enough backbone or the will to quit. its easier for them not to quit then try and make an effort to quit.

Jul, try lollipops. Find ones that you REALLY like and just eat the **** out of them. A couple of my pals tried it and it worked for them. Try to find ones with plastic sticks so after the candy is gone, you can still keep it in your mouth to substitute for the habitual "cigarette in the mouth" feeling. Lemme know how that works for ya if you try it.
