I go to diners with my girlfriend and her friends and get nothing but scrapple.

My girlfriend is a vegetarian. a few of her friends are vegetarians. the rest of them just hate it.

Its entertaining

Being born and raised in northeast Philly, scrapple was a way of life growing up. To this day, I still love it, smothered in either ketchup or syrup.. although it totally grosses out the gf

Put it this way, if someone gave me the option of cat **** covered in litter or scrapple..... I'd choose scrapple. And that's about the only time I'd voluntarily eat it.

I come from a Pennsylvania Dutch family, we've had Scrapple many times...as a kid, loved it, since I didn't know what the hell it was, and I still eat it to this day. It's something I gotta be hungry for, but I can eat it a couple times a year. It tastes best with a little bit of syrup...some people prefer butter or ketchup, but the sweet syrup makes the scrapple not taste so salty. But I've had this discussion with many people before and its true - people either love it or are completely disgusted by it. Takes a lot to gross me out food wise, my parents & grandparents would slotter chickens & pigs when I was growing up, so I've seen a lot.

Yes we are the only inbreeds that are daring enough to eat it. There could be people on this site with no clue (well atleast within the area it covers).
