Ich is a bitch. Like said above, if not taken care of in time its curtains. Number 1 reason ppl get it is from improper acclimation of new fish. ie. Pouring store water into your tank. They also say you can get it from having too cold of water I think. Worst disease has to be "Hole in the Head" disease. I've got it with mostly aged fish like my severums. It's ashame after getting attached to a fish for years.
Here's some of my 200 gallon oceanic pride:

i got a 75gal and a 38 gal saltwater tank in use now. both have groupers and eels, very aggressive tanks. my one miniatus grouper killed other groupers bigger than him, a shark, a lionfish, a wrasse,a red snapper, a green wolf eel, mad clownfish, a fu man chu, as well as many other docile fish. then i stopped buying anymore. only my two snowflake eels can live with them it seems.
anyways, im looking to sell both tanks. also included is 30+lbs of liverock, a filter for each, lighting, a protein skimmer for the 75, and all the saltwater in 5 gallon buckets if wanted. pm and let me know if anyone is looking. |

The tank is up and running! So far I have a snowflake eel , a coral beauty angel and a 4 1/2 inch blue spiney lobster. Pics to come. BTW ... evogsriii I'd be interested in some liverock but thats about it. I have a friend that would be interested in buying the small tank though. We're in the Allentown area. PM me whith what you'd like for the smaller tank.

A stocked tank is always good with enough filtration and always complete a fishless cycle!
Here are the tanks when I was living in an apartment And some of my babbies I also had 3 20L grow out tanks while I was breeding also. I gave all of it up except the 100G when I moved to PA. It is currently in the process of being refinished and should be setup soon. |

I have a fluidized bed rated for a 300 gallon setup and 20 gallons of pre-mixed saltwater for water changes if there's a spike. Plus I think that it's more like 85 to 90 pounds of established liverock in the tank. I also check ammonia, nitrate, nitrite and ph twice a day. I'll keep that up as I continue to add livestock an then go to twice a week.(test kits aren't as cheap as a freshwater one lol) Everything is sttling in quite well.
