All I see is you up on Saturn's nuts all the time.

I would not be on a supra's nuts running 13s at 120.

That could be because I'm trying to educate you on the fact that Saturns can perform, but obviously, that concept still isn't hitting you.

Clint I would not worry about trying to educate these people. There always gonna be haters just cause of the Saturn logo and nothing you can do about that. Trust me I gave up on it to. I'm very impressed with the car I've been on TSN and I wish I would of gotten Project Sleepy Head done but I needed a car so I got the Red Line. Those that do which to actually open up the ears and stuff talk to them and educate them with any questions the others will just never come.

Yeah.

I also wish you could have finished that project, but it happens. I'll pick up your slack with mine instead.

Well now that I need a car again maybe I'll just get another used saturn this time a 2DR and a DOHC. Wondering if I should make it a turbo project to or keep original plan.

If you can't suffer downtime, wet 75 shot SF will hold you nicely.

You could also think about buying a welded pin trans and swapping them too. The 75 will scoot you really well if you do it right.

*edit*
Brandon's selling his SW. Supercharged. Just needs piping from the charger to I/C to TB. And a head gasket.

That's what I thought was so sad. My car takes less work to make the same power, it's built stronger, and is better set up for performance both in the 1/4 mile AND in turns. There really is no reason for me to screw with a saturn, or even a neon for that matter.

Ok, It seems we are arguing based on different things, so i'll attempt to meet you 1/2 way. He obviously knows his stuff and did an impressive job. The car is fast... for a saturn.

No, the point is that it's heavier, so the nose stays planted.

It takes less work because you have an aftermarket. Saturn doesn't. How do you know it's built stronger? How do you know that it handles better in turns? You can't make these claims without comparing the two in person during action. Those claims have no backing.

As for performance in the quarter, maybe your car weighs more, or maybe you can get stiffer springs than 195in-lbs or even maybe you can get traciton bars. We can't. They don't make them. We have to spend over 1300 bucks to get the parts to make it stiff enough to keep the front end down. We have to design our parts. This is why there's more work involved.

His car will burn a lot of things on the road, no questions asked. TurboSL2 would burn just about every car on the road...except the c6 z06 because he hasn't found one yet.

Clint I dunno why you bother man, the more time I spend here the more time I realize that most of the people here are just closed-minded, condescending assholes. The only car that can be fast is their car. Just wait until you finish your turbo build dude. Then they can race you and see just how slow Saturns are.

Hahaha. I'm still wondering if I can beat TurboSL2's car. I wish he'd dyno the thing. (22psi, 150 shot. I KNOW he's past Ian's 388.)

Any car can perform with the right parts, money, etc.. The fact is, a 13.7 isn't all that impressive with 350whp. Excuses or not. I'm not bashing the car or anything. I'm saying it's not that impressive.

yea 350 whp should be in the 12's easliy

no point in doing all that work when your going to cheap out and not get slicks(or atleast drag radials)

yet again on top of everything, the dude prob spent a ton of money of that - should have gotten a platform that can handle it

Don't even put an RSX as a platform that can handle it, because an RSX can barely handle itself as it is.

Eh, no I wouldn't.

The whp # is impressive, but if you can't use it, what's the point?

I've heard about a 2G fwd DSM in my area putting down over 500 whp, but I also hear he can't do anything with it, because all he does is spin tires. That's going to be pretty embarassing if I run into him and his 500 whp monster gets whipped by a 300 whp car that doesn't spin all day.

This is true.

This is also back when mike couldn't drive. Listen to his shifts. He's only operating at the 7250 rev limit, if I remember correctly.
