dude for your info i personally have delt with rich for several years. the only complaint that i have of him is that he's too nice. rich is a one man show even thou he may have some people that help him. but at the end he makes all the decision in anybody's build. and as for tim to trust him with his baby speaks volume of rich's knowledge and execution of his gift of building cars.

there is only a handful of builder/tuners in the eastcoast that i would trust with any of the projects that im currently building. i have in the past and in the future call rich for any tips that i would need to finish a project. so your experience is your experience not one of tim nor any of us. so you posting on tim's build thread about your negative experience with your car is irrelavant. unless you own a supra of yours own that was worked on by rich.

haha. ah, not really. he was completely wrong about his theory... just want to make that clear to everyone. I PM'd him about it, but he is ignoring me. Obviously, what he said makes me look bad, so I want to be clear, that absolutely that was not me that had a previous account here... tho thats probably why he's been so tough on me, thinking I was some troll returned to stir ish up! :D

I also have dealt with rich and he's a stand up guy.

When I was like 17 I bought an Apexi SAFC from him and he installed it for me on a saturday morning that he wasn't supposed to be working, and let me hang out in the shop basement watching TV til it was done. I later took that out of the NA supra and am still using it in my TT.

I also called him up and spoke with him before buying my TT. He talked with me for 20 mins or so going over some things I might have missed when going from an NA to TT supra.

He's a real nice guy and I've never come accross any problems with him or his shop.

Yes I had an unexpected sander (savior) tonight... and then I came home to find out I am +1 on the prep but I am now -1 on the painter. My Greddy manifold showed up though and its prettttty sweet

The turbo is #3 on the list after the build is done. No sense in putting a bigger turbo on it if I can turn the boost up without blowing the transmission. I'm at my cap for power on the built Toyota transmission. First comes the F-Con V-Pro, then the 4L80e, then the turbo/exhaust.

Oh, I see now. I didn't realize the trans wasn't made to handle 1000+ already like everything else. Well cool, I really will have some work ahead of me to see if I can't keep up with you initially then

a 4l80e is a proven transmission in the Supra. It's made by GM, built stronger by Sound Performance. It's pricey, but well worth it to have a built transmission with overdrive.

do yourself a favor, don't change the suspension if it's stock, if it's not stock...put it back to stock. The cars love stock suspension and the way the squat really helps you hook.
