You guys are silly. They do make a dyno for a bike. You can't use a 2wd to test your bike. Here is info for the bike dyno. http://www.dynojet.com/motorcycle_dy...dyno/index.php

Check out www.dynojet.com for more info on the types that are out there.

We could, but the price will still be the same. It still going to take the same amount of time to strap up the car.

Get in the group rate to save yourself a few dollars if you think it's a lot for something that I consider is a must to know if you are doing mods to your car.

All the add-ons you put on your car, aren't you curious of what kinda power you are getting off them? Not just that, but to know if you are running lean or rich is extremely important for the longevity of your motor.

If you get a chance to test your car on a dyno, any dyno...do so. I think it's good to know the "health" of your motor.

Sandra is it? How much whp are you making with a mustang dyno if you have been to one, and would you like to see if your statement hold up if dynojet dyno really off as far as 20%?

I'd like to find out.

Ive got a custom flash for my mods on a mustang dyno. Ive been only on a mustang dyno for the entire life of the car...put out some impressive numbers, thats why Im curious to see what a dynojet will show.

Dynojets can give consistant numbers and are a good gauge of how much increase your mods may give. They work off inertia only putting load on the car in the beginning but once the car gets going, it freely spins the drums. So, for some cars tuning is not really ideal because the dynojet is not enough load.

So a mustang dyno would represent more of a "real world" case scenario (with lower HP numbers compared to dynojet of course). So pretty much it's g-tech vs. real world numbers.

An AWD dynojet is kinda nice though...

So not to stray too off topic what is a good day for everyone to set up for a dyno-day?

P.S. Here is an un-biased article about dyno-jets. Gives the advantages and disadvantages:

I am still interested in doing a couple pulls though just to get a guestimate of gain.

Oh and here is another forum with an article to explain further if I am unclear:

What you are saying is correct. Mustang Dyno has simulated real world loading thus yield a little lower whp numbers than dynojet.

But it doesn't matter what you get it dyno'd on, as long as you are consitent. And just to keep the facts straight, a Mustang dyno really is no more beneficial for tuning than a Dynojet...it's simply a different way of measuring horsepower and torque. Both Dyno's are incredibly accurate and beneficial when set up correctly.

Anyway...

Weekends would be the best time for having a dyno day. Saturday? Sunday maybe?

Richie, I thought a mustang dyno could hold hold rpm and vary load thus making it superior for hitting the all load sites?
