You need two cans.

I doubt a shop will actually weld anything, they will most likely hammer it out from the inside and use body filler for the rest.

Sell your car since it's totaled now, take her XG, sell it since the 2.7 Delta SUCKS, buy a 240/WRX/SI/Whatever floats your boat, then enjoy life as you have new fun car and laugh as your sister has to walk everywhere now.

LOL, what shop are you going to?

You cant even get access to most of the backside of most 1/4 panels. Even if they used weld on studs or even drilled holes and put hooks through, the likely hood of getting the jam edges to be straight and the gap even remotely close would take a lot of time. It would be cheaper to do a cut and weld job.

As others have said, that is in the range of $2-4k in damage depending on the shop you go to (would be less if you went to a **** shop, but you get **** work, shut the door and the filler cracks LOL).

I'm doing my dads bosses Tracker this weekend but the 1/4 is pushed in like a 4th that and on no body lines. That will be a pull and light filler. He was quoted for $1,600 to pull the dent, fill, and paint along with a drivers side taillight and fix the rear plastic bumper. I'm charging about 1/2... and fixing the front bumper from previous damages... side jobs FTW.

That sucks that it was your sister. I just had my car backed into on my street my neighbor flew out of his driveway on his cell with his f150. they were lucky and just hit the door 1900 dollars worth of damage plus a rental car for 3 days + alignment. ALL ON THEIR INSURANCE the shop did great work but highly highly priced....600 for a used mustang door...LOL i dident have to pay so i did not care!. Its just weird cause they had to blend my door so one side of my car has no swirl marks while the other looks like i washed my car with sandpaper... Its nice getting stuff fixed that you wouldn't bother to have spent money on.

Well maybe welding would be easier, but I personally wouldn't want to weld.

Getting the money is going to suck. You'll probably never see it. My dad backed into my old Prelude the day I got it, and I sold the car a year later still damaged.

Right, since bondo looks way better than welds. Seriously who wants welds anymore. I say we start putting cars together with Bondo. The Chevy Bondo SSR. Catchy right..

You would still use body filler even with welds. I would try and hammer out the dent as much as possible. However, maybe in this case I was wrong.
