I looked around and there was nobody in the store but me and the teenage clerk. I wasn't about to give him the money and I had no way of putting it back in the machine so I just put the dough in my pocket and strolled out of there like I did nothing wrong.

I actually felt bad about it, still do. If for some reason it comes back to me thru video survaliance or anything like that I would return the money for sure. But I guess until that time comes I'll find something to spend it on... like a track day or something.

alot of the atms are simple swipe card readers. you just insert and remove the card.

Ya, well there are a lot of machines that you just swipe your card, they do not take your card. I know i have walked away at least once and forgot to make sure the screen was off my account. They do "time out" but guess he got luck enough to hit it B4 this account did that.

I didn't go in there with the INTENT of stealing money but **** happens what can I say, sometimes your the dog and other times your the hydrant. If I could have returned it at that moment I would have but there was no way to do so.

To the people talking about Karma, I just dropped my digi camera on the sidewalk and broke it a couple days before this all happened. Maybe "KARMA" wanted me to have that $200.00 to replace it, and the person who's account got debited was bad person, and wasn't supposed to have $ because of something they did. who knows. its all how you look at it.

Bottom line is that its $200.00, big woop. Like I said before, if this "somehow" catches up with me, I have no problem giving the money back. you guys who think I'm going to go to jail for this are pretty f'ing stupid!

You say that like you have no way to return the money. You know what bank owns the ATM. You know how much you got, and what time you were there. They could easily use that information to locate the acct that it came from to refund them.
