They make multiple trannies for your car.

5spd gear options:

PPG helical cut
PPG Straight cut
PPG straight cut with dog engagement

All three of these are over 5k, but almost unbreakable...

STi RA gears
STi chryotreated gears, non RA ratios

You can generally get these installed and bought for just over 2k, cheap, but you can break these just as easy...

Kaaz gears, straight cut or helical cut

Very similar to PPG pricing, about the same in strength. You don't hear about them as much because they don't have the customer support like Andrewtech gives for the PPG gears.

I think theres even more...

For STi tranny swaps you can do, v7 or v8 sti which have a taller 5th and 6th gear, usdm v8 (04-05) tranny, usdm 07 sti tranny which has longer gearing, etc...

Sure, why not? What's a WRX trap stock? Low to mid 90s? I went 105 on the stock turbo, intercooler, fuel, and a Stage 0 Unichip, and that's far from the highest TD04 trap. I stand by my point. It's not the name of the turbo that picks up 5MPH, it's the power.
