It was a great day indeed, good last minute decision to go on my part! I left as that auto 2g talon was on the rollers. Did anyway stay to see those two rsx's run? I wanted to but all my friends wanted to leave.
No RSX's ran and his clutch was slipping bad. He went to about 3500rpm and it let loose everytime. The auto 2g was leaking coolant and smoking white like a blown headgasket so he didn't get any runs in.

Slipping bad is an understatement. And yes, it's a 5S lol. Big plans for the winter though.

I put down 214, at least thats what was on the board. I was too busy looking at my A/F, which decided to hold 11:1 until it shot to 16:1 at 6700 rpms.

Yikes...I dont think I got a chance to take it to redline, didnt hear the rev limiter on my runs cause i had to keep getting off it early. Going to guestimate that there was a few more ponies those last 500 rpms. But I would like to keep my engine for now so I can get retuned for this lean state in cold weather, ditch some weight, and then rematch the saturn lol

post up your dyno sheet or run file when you get it.
from the way you describe it, its possible you hit some form of fuel cut and didnt realize it. but looking at the sheet will shed some more light on it.

not fuel cut. something was wierd with their wideband sensor. Mine did the same thing and I know mine doesnt spike lol.

I hate those dynojet widebands for that reason there. Plus they are waaay to far back in the exhaust stream

It's weird because it only happened to you two. But I agree, the sniffers don't read 100% correct since they're way back in the exhaust stream. Best bet is to log your own wideband.

I am going to log my car anyway....i dont know if its the transmissions rotation or what not...but i am getting two vibrations inside the car with my motor mounts. (All my motor mounts are poly. No Rubber protection for me. Like it hard.)(sorry TMI i think)

A light typical vibration of motor mounts when you get off the throttle lightly. And if I put a load on the engine and get off, the vibration isnt worse, however it sounds much different.

Now my question is...since I do not think I have ever felt these distinct different vibrations.....could this be detonation from running lean when getting off the gas.

Or, is this typical from say, the tranny being wound up by full throttle and then immediately slowing with the engine. I am assuming that the different chassis vibrations could be from the trannies rotational mass and the difference between "light throttle to no throttle" versus "heavy throttle to no throttle."

Well who ran before me and him, I know the MR2 already went. Did the sleeper wagon run before me as well? I am not too sure. Maybe there was moisture in the scanner for the first few runs. It was uptop in the RPM band when the spike ocurred for both of us. A little wacky.
