Hondas/acuras aren't bad cars. Cheap, reliable, good on gas = great 1st car.

HOWEVER, if you mod them, best of luck to you. There is a lot of crap stuff out there and you can easily go bad routes with them. ALSO, there is a large amount of them that are stolen / have stolen parts so if you get one, do so at your own risk!

I'm not looking for a V-dub. They're nice, but not my style. Some kid at my school has an all black Golf, probably around a 98... I could be wrong. It's in really good shape, and it's nice looking but I just don't know.

I'm aware that Hondas are like, on the TOP of the list for them being stolen/broken into.

I'm not trying to dump my life savings into my first car. I'm thinking just getting something cheap for now, then when I'm ready I'll buy something to mod.

Good V-dubs are not the most reliable cars out there. Then again my car has never given me any major problems besides electrical stuff. Stay away from the 1.8T whatever you do.
