i thought when i clicked on this thread i was actually going to see people discussing hip hop... 50 cent and kanye west are not hip hop, they're pop rap. that's it.

Please dont bad mouth kanye untill you listen the album, his style his lyrics his delivery is the freshest thats out right now. Yeah hes c0cky and concieded but he has the right to be because no one else right now is on his level. Even if you dont like the song watching the video makes you like the song. His creative style is superb and I think he does represent hip hop the way its supposed to be represented. Along with common talib and a couple others, they are hiphop. 50 cent on the other hand is complete garbage, listen to the whole album and it was complete trash minus 2-3 songs. The only thing im disappointed with kanye is that he only had 13 songs on there, wish there was more to listen to. And no im not a bias raphead i listen to everything also but i prefer rap/hip hop. And yes about the skinny little white kids in a xxxxxl white tee, those ****s need to come to reality and open their god damn eyes a little and see how stupid and pathetic they look, put one of them in south or north philly and they will **** themselves in less than 5 min.

PS: One more thing on radio hiphop and rap with snap your fingers and lean with it rock with it, it is pure entertainment to listen to those songs, and i appreciate them in the club when everyone is drunk and all dancing to the same beat, sorta brings people together even if its lame lyrically its gets the club poppin and i cant imagine what clubs would be like without club bangers.

that's mainly the reason that he's included with all the other rap 'stars' and one hit wonders like i said.. how does he have a right to be ****y? is it because he talks faster than the other guys? because the dude he bought his tracks off of made a more original beat than the other producer? i'm so confused as to how someone can be 'on top' and on a different level, it makes no sense. so he's got a lot of fans right now, that puts him on no higher level than anyone else as far as i'm concerned.

If you would listen to his album you would understand where im coming from, look at his previous 2 albums they were classics, his style of rapping and the way he can change things up is like none other, if you listen to rappers out there every song sounds the same as far as them rapping, like vocally they the cd sounds the same on every track, the way kanye delivers he has versatility and he can sound different if he needs to, when i listen to his music i can feel him rapping rather than just listening to it, dont know if you understand what I mean but only a hang full of rappers can do that, as far as beats go yeah he samples like everyone else in the industry but he makes the drums and the beats around the sample so much better, he can take a classic music beat thats sampled from someone and make it into an amazing beat for whatever mood he feels like the song should be in. I personally think the man is a genius and he deserves the credit he gets. Think about it every person you listen to is gonna have a radio song or 2 to promote their album but to say his whole album is radio rap thats just insane.

PS: Im sick and tired of hearing shooting this shooting that murder this etc etc and i guarantee you that 90% of these people never even shot a gun let alone killed someone. Kanye is a breath of fresh air for me anyways, I can wait for cassidy's album to drop, gotta rep philly.

And he is very far from just a one hit wonder, all 3 of his albums are now considered classics, not a lot of rappers can do that.

kanye isnt in the same group of hiphop as talib and common...by far... the song getting the most airplay is 90% Daft Punk.. this other idiot he's arguing with over who sucks less had to make 90% of his song audio two...so many people think kanye is deep and this and that .. he sucks, 50 sucks.. they are both pop rap entertainers fighting over who can take more of your money..

I like kanye's album, I like kanye's beats(some of the best drums in the mainstream), kanye is a mediocre rapper but makes entertaining songs. I can hop out of my underground shell and enjoy a few things being played on the radio. I don't like 50 at all
