Octane is only a measurement based upon a static point. This is completely different from a number defined by way of gematria.

The two out of three (third is the x5) autos that I had were rear wheel drive and had no problem doing burnouts by either power braking, or slamming on the gas and then easing on to the brake (91 lx 306 with 4.10's later converted to 5 speed, and 96 z28 with 3.73's and a stall and bunch of other work). Don't you just e-brake it for fwd cars?

The X5 doing burnouts is a different story, although I have done donuts in the rain.

Yes, hence why I haven't done any burnouts. However, I think that it's some kind of percentage because in loose gravel and wet roads, if I pull out fast, the front tires spin.

My truck is a auto, i power brake burnouts all the time. Its so easy, press brake and gas and let out brake. That plus some times I can make it chirp second gear. But then again its a RWD pickup and it chirps the rear tires all the time around hard turns.

If you beat on it a lot, 5000 miles is too much.

I dunno.. I'm just not a firm believer in 'high mile oil', especially if you're beating on the car hard, I'd change it every 2500-3000.
