Well I've had the car for about a year now I think. As some of you know i'm only 15 right now, but the car has been funded by me completly. I originally had a 93 legacy turbo wagon with a really rusted body, which some of you on TST may remember. I was going to use it as my donor car but it was an automatic, don't want an auto, sold it to my dad, did a legacy turbo swap on another legacy he had. Flash forward a couple months, I come across another 93 legacy turbo sedan, this ones a 5 m/t which is what I wanted. Car has a salvage title and was hit up front twice. Everything from it is going into my impreza. I'll go outside tomorrow and take some pics of what's been going on and how far I've gotten with it. I have about 3 weeks of school left after that, i'll be working on the car pretty much all summer. My motivation for this car is the 95 WRC impreza. I just want to do something CLOSE to it, not exact. It's going to be a WRC themed car just without the decals. I swapped the entire rear subframe out two weeks ago, R180 and rear disc's finally! Front subframe is out of the L now also. Next major thing to do is drop the front subframe out of the legacy turbo and put it back up in the impreza. Have to swap out a front hub (crushed wheel bearing), but thats nothing huge. I've got to figure out if these legacy turbo pedals will work, if not i'll have to get WRX ones. Plan on doing the wiring last since I'm going to have a couple issues with the back half of the car's wiring. So I guess i'll write down a mods list while i'm at it. I'll post a pic of the car how it sat about 2 months ago. ![]() 5/17/08 Well today I didn't get a whole lot done, I got a MSD ignition, wired that up to the EJ22T, ripped out the dash, polished out the engine bay in the impreza. Started stripping down the legacy, hope to have the front subframe about out tomorrow. I took the dash out of the legacy. It shows the upper piece still in, in the pic but its out all the way now. Ordered a 1 1/16 non ABS master cylinder today. That should be here next week sometime. Here's some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 5/18/08 Well today I dropped out the entire front subframe and put it back up in my impreza. So the motor/trans/subframe is all back up. Well it's been a couple months since my last update, stuff's been moving very slow. Just finished school and have been busy helping other people with their projects. Anyway I sold my Racing brake 4 pot fronts, and my 05 WRX front's are pending sale wednesday. Will be looking for some FHI JDM 4 pot fronts not sure about seats yet. Laid out the rear half of the wiring for the car. Going to look at a mounting location for the ECU next. I've located all my wiring issues, they'll be front corner lights, taillights, gauge cluster, and my HVAC plug. I'm sure i'll be able to figure these out, so wiring will be no problem for me. Also I had to figure out which driveshaft would work and that didn't go well. So I have to get the legacy turbo driveshaft cut down, not that big a deal. Also changed my fuel pump to a 2.2 legacy fuel pump, had less miles then mine and figured it wouldn't hurt anything. Couldn't figure out how to run the wire through the underside of the car so I cut the impreza fuel pump wiring and just used the legacy wiring. Used a hole saw and cut a hole in where the fuel pump cover piece is and called it a day. Now that it's summer time and I don't have school i'll be making more progress so expect more updates. Update 7/8/08
Mounted ECU, put in heater box, fan, and dash beam. Sourced the correct driveshaft, will be here tomorrow hopefully. Going to use a legacy gauge cluster and fit it into my dash. Have to play with the HVAC wiring, will do that tonight. If everything goes as planned I can have the upper dash back in the car tomorrow, start it up, and see if everything's ok. Then after that, if everything is ok, just have to re-assemble everything. Have a VERY rare set of wheels from then UK coming. Hopefully will be here in a few weeks. Here's a pic of the interior right now. All the money I had went to these wheels, so i'll be looking out for another set of either 99-01 RS seats or some 02-03 WRX seats since their both fairly cheap. Everybody said I should of been able. But it was wrong, the bolt patterns are different for where the driveshaft bolts up to the rear. A 4EAT legacy turbo driveshaft was my answer, it is the correct lenght (same length as the 5m/t impreza) and bolts up to the R180 since all the legacy turbos used the R180.

Been awhile, bored, figure i'll update.
Been buying alot of parts lately. Here's a quick list, Prodrive catted downpipe & 3rd cat delete, Prodrive 5 m/t shift knob, Prodrive battery tie down, Prodrive liscense plate holder, Prodrive center caps for the Pero's, Ver.5 Sti inverted struts, Carbon Fiber center console trim, and a Ver.2 STi tmic. Put in a carpet about a month ago along with the 2.5 RS floormats, will get some Prodrive floor mats soon. Finally got around to playing with the tail light wiring, almost all wired up, painted some stuff under the hood, make it look a little better. Have a set of painted valve covers I have to put on as well. MSD is mounted where I want it at finally. Put on a JDM WRX drivers side fender, just need a passengers side. Another update?
1/25/09 As a handful of people know i've be hot on the trail for a setof JDM seats for about a year now. As I was doing a session on eBay I came across a set of what I believe are Ver.4 WRX seats. Got a smokin' deal on them from JDM-hot in California. Highly recommend them, shipping was super fast too. The past few days the weather hasn't been TOO bad I decided i'd go mess with the car. The Prodrive downpipe had what looked like to be an EGT bung so instead of getting an 02bung welded in I drilled and tapped the EGT bung to an 02bung size. Then took off the JDM one piece and put on the Prodrive. Was a very nice addition to the car, it's quite at idle but with WOT it has a very nice rumble to it. Along the way I bought a Prodrive rear diff protector for the car as well, that went on yesterday. It is by no means as strong or purpose built as the OEM one but it's a very nice show piece. Mechanically I think the car is getting pretty close to being done for now, I want to put in my Ver.2 STi intercooler and that should keep me pretty happy for quite some time. The body is going to be my next big project. I have to get the roofscoop done, all dings and dents must be removed, then I'm going to shoot it myself.
