I hate Neons, yes gang sorry your srt-4 is still a Neon, but I do have respect for them on an individual basis. Meaning there are two or three I can live with (4drstunner, the gang that shows up at the Allentown meets). The other car that bugs me to no end is the new "GTO". I use quotes because Pontiac did make a GTO, and back in the 70's it's production ended. The oversized, 400hp grand prix they put on the road a couple years back is NOT a GTO. No offense to the Monaro drivers on here, I just think it failed on many levels as a car and I am happy to not see them on the road. Now take away the Cobalt SS interior, and the attempts to keep the "Pontiac" look and it wouldn't be nearly as bad.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but that oversized Grand Prix will wipe the floor with a lot of things on the road...even *gasp* a STI. The new GTO is NOT the reincarnation of the classic muscle car as it was often assumed to be and incorrectly advertised as. It was at heart, one of the best grand touring cars to ever come to the US that the average guy could afford. The most controversial part of the car is it's styling and that definitely hurt sales...but I have never heard anyone who actually drove one diss the performance and refinement of the car. As for the Cobalt SS interior, you've obviously never been in one, so save the "cheap" references (funny coming from a guy who drives an Impreza) as they certainly don't apply to the GTO's interior. The only thing to compare it to is a M3, but the GTO costs 20k less.

Haha i know what you mean....A high schooler around my parts just got a brand new M3. The first thing he did was sticker it up and put neons on it. T-minus till he wraps it around a pole.

hey 96s14 and i test drove a GTO just a couple hours ago. Its not the fastest car, but itll clean up nice. The interior styling and performance is awesome for its price, and i thought my car was a good buy.

You assume a lot, not the least of which is that I said it wasn't fast. I have been in, and driven them. Probably a couple more then you since my father worked at a pontiac dealership up until a year ago, and he was a fan of them. I'm sorry but yeah it does have a cheap interior, good for the price after they dropped the price to move them off the lot. So yeah I stick by what I said, change the styling, change the interior, and stop calling it a GTO and I am good. You're right though it is definately not the reincarnation of anything classic.
You didn't say much that went against what I said, besides the interior. No kidding it can beat an STI. So could a go-kart with a motorcycle engine but does that make it better lol? I understand you see that I drive a Subaru and assume that I must think it is the greatest thing on four wheels, when really it was the best fit for what I wanted, quick, fun and AWD since I commute 50 miles one way to work from the poconos. For me I would rather have a vette Z06, Porsche, Challenger, a 67 GTO convertible the list goes on hahaha. Keep in mind I didn't say it wasn't a good bang for the buck, and I didn't say it was slow lol. Someone, probably a few will come in here and say they hate my car. The trick is to realize opinions differ, just because someone doesn't like the car you drive, it does not mean they know you personally and are insulting you.

Gto is not three letters that the general invented for their hot tempest, it stands for Gran Turismo Omologata which is italian for Grand Touring ****logated. now then, the old cars were NOT ****logation specials due to gm's "no racing" edicts of the time and the name was in fact copied from ferrari to give the car false racing cred. now consider that the monaro runs in the aussie v8 supercar series and you will clearly see that the new cars are the true GTOs whereas the old ones are NOT

That is the main issue, i have no problem with most cars, if you arnt a dick about the car you own. Know a bunch of kids that got new high end cars in highschool, most are ****ing morons.

My list of cars i dont like (hate is such a strong word)
Subaru Baja.....
SUVs (simply because i drive a small car and hate parking between them)
VW Golfs

Yeah it is mostly the drivers that i dont like.
