def nice pickup though... if u dont mind me askin.. how much did u end up gettin for ur celica? is this a 05?
I sold the celica for 8k... Way below what I wanted but I had to ditch her since the G was already in my driveway. And the G35 is and '06.

Thanks brotha!!! I did love the looks of the Celica. Too bad not to many other people did (Obviously). But I can't deny that the G is sooo much better!

Nothing really to take photos of. Just put the intake on and now debating whether to throw those springs on (Tein H-Techs). The JDM sidemarkers (frosted) will go on this weekend weather/daylight permitting. We should get together soon and take some shots!

Yeah I installed it last week and maaan does it sound mean! Around 4k RPMs she screams... I'm definitely wasting a ton of gas just to hear it, especially on days like today with the windows down haha... The heatsheild actually did fit, but it was kind of confusing. Really look at the installation write up that came with it and make sure you are putting it on correctly. We should get together as well, Z/G photos! Here is a picture of the Popcharger/Z-tube installed... It does look about an inch too short, but folks over at G35driver.com says thats how it supposed to look with that combo so I'll live with it.

glad to see everything worked for you! i'm definitely down for a photoshoot any time! i just now realized that there are two different heat shields, one for the Z, and on for the G. my pop charger came with a G shield, so i have it in for now, but i'm keeping my eye out for a Z heat shield. lol

Car is looking good!

That pop charge makes a cool sound when u hit the gas right? you can hear it pulling in air.

Let me know if your ever going the "jdm badge" route.....i have the JDM Nissan Skyline front grill sitting in my basement from my G35.

What are your other plans?

Thanks. Yeah, its a high-pitch noise sucking in air. Love it! I don't have to many plans lined up because I don't know if I'm going to want to pick up the '08 model haha. Looking to have it tinted and maybe a sweet set of wheels (Maybe iForged).

Your pop charger is definitely not sitting rite. If you haven't fixed it yet you should take another look at it. Also make sure it is well away from that ac line. A few people have a gradually rubbed a hole in it from intakes and that's an expensive fix. It also appears you don't have the bracket on that supports the the filter element its self. I can take pictures of mine if you need to see it.

Do you have the z tube as well? Because it fit perfectly with the G intake tube. Seems the Z tube is a half inch too short. No problems at all as of yet, and yes the bracket is on. That was during install. I'll keep an eye on the ac line, thanks for looking out.

I forget who posted it, saying bolt ons are pointless on the VQ... wrong. Is your car equipped with the rev-up motor? If so, the rev-ups are responding VERY VERY well to bolt ons. So don't throw that out of the mix.

Ok I just compared yours to mine and i now think yours is fine and it is just the angle of the pics that was throwing me off.

I installed a spacer under that bar that shoots to the drivers side to keep it away from the a/c line but i need to re adjust it as it seems to have moved a little bit over the 3 years. My filter is no longer pretty blue (that fades quickly) and i need to polish up my heat shield again.

Yeah I thought I had it right. But I will add a spacer so that it doesnt rub the AC line and probably shield it with elec tape or something. I really appreciate you taking to time to try and help me though! Us G's gotta stick together!

I have been hearing the same thing. Who knows though. No real solid plans in the works right now.

Bolt ons on a G arent really worth it (any year or motor).

Ive seen TONS of modded G's and the power u get from ALL the bolt-ons isnt that great...and the cost approaches that of going FI.

For example...intake, exhaust, headers, cat-deletes, utec, cams, plenum MIGHT make u another 30-40 wheel hp....which as most of you know, isnt a HUGE difference on the street. The cost (including install) will also be pushing 3500-4000ish...maybe more...and at around 5500-6500 your looking at Forced Induction prices.

Im not saying dont do it (because i did!) but dont expect much...

BTW, i love your G...its cleannn!
