Most emo kids are suburban little teenagers who think their lives are so dramatic which revolve around girlfriend's, family, and school.
they make big deals over things that are not really a big deal.

I think generally people who are emo are just a small part of the large group of people who are "scene". the emo kids are all emotional and like to bitch and complain about how bad life is. However, in general, the whole "scene" image just sucks because they all think they are so different and counter culture but in reality they are modern culture just as leg warmers and tights were culter in the 80s. They are like one big collective mind, they all think, speak and act alike and are totally against anything that isnt "scene" and all claim to not be "scene".

Seriously though, as stated above, it's just a bunch of kids imitating what they are told is cool. That scene is cool right now. I personally listen to a lot of different stuff. I would consider myself a punk fan, but in the lighter sense of the word, not the gutter punk/oy that calls itself true punk. If a song is good in my opinion I will listen to it, regrdless if it makes me cool or not. Regardless if I like any other songs by the artist or not.
Music is about the song, not the scene to me. I will act, dress and listen to whatever the hell I want.

And I will not own Chuck Taylor lowtops. They are very uncomfortable.
