I am not turning it into a pissing contest - I am just saying that for future refrence, he may want to choose mandrel bends instead of that kind of jointed exhaust - the bends are cheap, and if its more expensive than a straight run of pipe, its sure as hell cheaper the the labor involves to make like 50 welds. I am just helping the guy out - if he doesn't paint he welds it's gonna rust out relatively quickly here in the northeast - no contest, just proving that I have some knowledge under my belt to make such claims.

i know you know your stuff, but like i said befor he had the choice but didnt want to put up the money for the bends. I didnt mind putting in extra hours to help a friend out. as for the rusting you are right it will rust on the welds but paint cost money too, so that will be done in a couple days
