my thoughts: troll and the others working on the site are doing a great job, and they will never please everyone.

my personal gripes: the organization of threads is a little overbearing. like just this week i saw some sort of car audio thread posted in off topic and subsequently moved. i realize there is a seperate section for it.. but ive never heard of a thread being moved OUT of off-topic in a situation like that(on any other forum). its not a big deal.. its not like anyone goes to off topic expecting to find any particular subject.

also, the swear filters. im just the type of person that feels i shouldnt have to speak like a child when im not around them. not that i want to(or that others should) be allowed to post threads where like every other word is a swear..but the occasional curse isnt going to be the end of the world.

i guess thats about it

TST FTW!!. This site has got me through a lot and also has made me a procastinator on school assignments but htats my own laziness. One thing that should be changed back is off topic post counting. I understand y you took that away and since the tst chat opened up less chit chat has been happening. So why does it still not effect the post count. jw thanx

I think it's a fairly relaxed forum. Some people on here are a little high strung but compared to other forums everyone really helps you out and they (for the most part) don't jump down your throat if you say something that might not be right. The diversity of the cars people have on here is great, I mean there are WRX's, EVO's, AND SRT4's lol. Keep up the good work, and to everyone else keep getting the word out about the site.

As far as forums go, this one is pretty strict. Ever been on honda-tech? You practically have to threaten someone's life to get a thread locked. That's no necessarily a good thing but it's the truth.

My one gripe with this site is when moderators either delete, or modify peoples post's.

+1

I rather things be more raw and honest, but some people take the internet too seriously and get butthurt. i think they need to man up.
Also, the swear filter is ****ing gay.

Muddy for mod 06!

I think this site is great. Sure there are some things that could use changing, i had a few dissagreements with a few mods early on about swear filters and locking certain threads. I still think that the censureship is taken a bit to far in certain situations, like if i wanted to talk about flyers coach ken hitch**** part of his name isnt there. Most of us are adults and can communicate without using profanity, if someone abuses the privlidge warn them then block them. Dont punish everyone for the mistakes of a few.

However, with that said, i think it is because of these rules that this site has become what it is today. IN the beginning alot of people were ignorant and regularly posted obsenities and insults just to start a fight. The rules for the most part have eliminated most of those people from the site while attracting others who just want to discuss cars.

Dont change a thing here!

Hands down the best forum I am apart of. Period.

Just ease up on some of the cuss filters lol.

I like saying ****&
****

and then making fun new words like ****ass, titty****, and ****taint

lol, another in favor of getting rid of the cuss filter, or at least one that isnt so strict. The majority of kids start cussing when they're like, what?...14? And though theyre might be some 16/17 yr olds on here, most of the active members are well above 18.

In other words, we are all grownup enough to read profanity. And besides, like others said, if someone says **** you! You know what they're saying anyway... so whats the point?

Beside the cuss-filter, i'm happy with how the site is, I haven't had any run-ins with the mods so no comments on that.

yeah TST is great! The members are nice and respectful, but on the other hand, sometimes they don't help others out when in need. Instead they crack jokes (nothing violent) or not answer at all. And at the end, the person asking a question is in the same rut they were when in in the beginning.

my honest opinion... some of the swear filters could go... only blocking words like F*** and ... thats it... and as far as mods go... i personally would be alot more strict than the mods are currently... i see alot of stupid/pointless posts.. and alot of bickering between members.. trying to sort thru that gets old. but if you couldnt tell by my post cost since i joined ...im addicted.
