i bought the black fairmont, and figured why not put the 4.8 and 60e i have in this thing and do a little more serious build on the other car, than i normally do

pulled the cam out of the 4.8 and installed a 98 LS1 cam, and then dropped it in the black car

so then the cream/gold car was ready for a spare 5.3 i had, studs, springs, isky cam from the 4.8 and a full retard forward facing turbo kit my friend built an a Billet S476r V3 from Forced inductions.com

spring install

hotside and turbo

installed ebay 65 mustang radiator

done as of the other day

put it on the dyno last night

10psi-514rwhp
15psi-661rwhp
17psi-721rwhp
Crazy enough on pumpgas, with washer fluid

i have two two tones now, black/silver and cream/gold
we were having trouble working out getting this car over the boarder, and the guy was getting estimates of like 3300+ dollars in fees total, i told him to forget about it so long as there are no hard feelings, i will just keep the car and do something nuts with it

nope, i built a motor before and sold it, never used it

added another 90 to the exhaust so its out the fender instead of into the floor

fixed my trans leak, and took some pics without the bird shield in place lol

Reliability wise, what do you think you could get out of say a 400 whp motor.

Out of an LS, I've seen them go for over 200,000 stock. I don't see why if properly maintained could go well over 100K.

It's the accessories bolted to them that usually crap out after 100K. At least working at a shop it's what I usually see. The ignition systems will go on forever. Don't think I've ever replaced a coil or wires on them due to failure. Nothing like I have on any Ford 4.6, 5.4, or 6.8

In other words I consider these the modern day 350. Great reliability and aftermarket.

I want a sloppy setup in my truck, or maybe a ranger, or even a foxbody(which they have done already) 400 HP would be enough for me to kill myself.

Yea just buy the fairmont. It's the power you want on a fox body frame. All the chassis aftermarket with all the sleeper goodness...minus the dump pipe. Lol
