It really depends on the species but including a tank a habitat can run anywhere from about $30 to around $70 depending on if you are willing to go out in the yard to find rocks and logs for them to hide in and boil them to get rid of the mites/parasites or you want to go and get all that stuff from a pet shop. As for if I decide to sell any, I'll probibally sell them for around $15 each.

these are the two species I have an overabundance of
Arizona Bark
These guys are the only species in north america that are concitered "medically signifigant" but the last reported death from a sting was in 1968, but their have been a few deaths from allergic reactions.

and Florida bark
Mine however are from Brazil and are thought to have signifigantly more potent venom than the ones found in Florida, but I have no information as to how many deaths they have caused. I have to say out of the 5 species I have these are definately my favorite.

I don't really know if I would recommend either of these species to someone with no keeping experienct though. If you are really interested you may want to get an Desert Hairy as your first, they are big, pretty easy to find and relatively harmless. They are a semi-aggressive species that wont think twice about stinging so they teach you the respect you need when dealing with more dangerous species.
