not yet. my money is on the dealership talking him into an overpriced fully loaded v6 with more marked up options than the SS.

Yep.. that or once you test drive the V8 version is just impossible to be content with the V6.

It makes no sense to me how one could drive a new 5.0 mustang and a camaro as and decide the camaro was more deserving of his money..

Especially at virtually the same price...I'm baffled at how the camaro slightly outsold the mustang last year...it certainly wasn't because it performs better...at any trim level...

Some people say the Camaro sold better because its available in more wild look at me colors.

This is exactly why the camaro outsold. It was more radical and "cool" looking than the mustang. I agree that the mustang outperforms and handles better then the camaro but the looks of the camaro are cooler.

Looks are subjective.

I think the Camaro has a cartoonish appearance and was way too late to the retro-styling party.

Once the novelty of having the Camaro back in production wears off and people realize it has the worst outward visibility of any high volume production car, sales will slow...big time.

I also have no idea why anyone would buy a camaro over a mustang. It must just be the stubborn old school dbag chevy owners being loyal no matter how bad the product is. Can you tell the ss is about the worst car ive ever been in?

I drove the Camaro and the Mustang. I like the looks of the Camaro and the brakes, but I hated the heavy 20'' wheels. Dubs don't belong on a car like this.
The 5.0 has better visibility, nicer interior and doesn't feel like a tank. The Camaro definitely had more low end torque, but I fixed that problem with my Mustang with a tune. You get a lot more for your money with the 5.0 too.

Who wants to see a Mustang V6 die? This guy took the 115mph limiter off his new Mustang. It was limited for a reason.

Sounds like he should of let off the gas around 120 when there started to be some vibration noise. Can't believe anyone would be shocked that a car was designed to go 115mpg would break at 140. If you want to go 140+, you get the V8.

Driver mod needed.

Fail on his part. The 5.0 has a 2 piece heavy duty drive shaft for a reason.

There is a cheaper and lighter driveshaft on the V6 Mustang for a reason and its why it has a limiter.

I like Ford's response to the whole issue, "If you want to do more than 114 MPH, buy a 5.0 GT."
