Its not that easy. Bunch of machining required to make it work. Ive been all over Aussie/Kiwi forums and know whats required. Pain in the ass.

Not going in there with OEM bottom end and stock 1JZ turbo which would creep hard with the displacement which makes it even more pricey since I would be forced to go aftermarket. Which means pistons/rods, BOTH intake/exhaust manifolds, fuel rail, injectors, yeah **** that. I dont even have the money for a 1J longblock at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your engine. Always scary buying a used engine. You really have to trust what the seller is telling you. But that is how the car game is. It's like an endless game of Russian roulette, that costs an arm and a leg to play.

No, Japan Domestic Motors.

I think Im just gonna drive back to the gajillion importers we have here, and try to snag an auto vvti 1J for <1000 bucks (after hella negotiation) and do a longblock swap. Auto trans goes right into the dumpster.

That way I have a spare turbo too if this one is crap...

Really hope it works out for you man I'm all too familiar with the pain. Milky and silver shavings, I am assuming the HG blew and coolant in bores ruined the rings, etc. At best, you'd probably need a hone and new rings and bearings for the whole thing. Does the noise go away when it warms up or you didn't bother warming it up?

Honestly, the first time I watched I didn't get to the second knock. The first was pretty loud, and made me remember my car doing the same, so I clicked X. I really do hope it works out for you. A CC dispute would get the ball rolling, but since you got it ~1 year ago I don't know if you could do that.
