New stuff vs old.

All torn down.

Plan on reassembling the passenger side tomorrow and tackling the drivers side. Drivers side has rivets that need to be cut...fml.

Looking good. I'm hoping to order one for my cherokee in the next few weeks. Is that 4.5"? I'd like to see before and after when you're done.

The lift is a 4". I compared the blocks that came with the kit to the ones on my rear now and they're the same height. Maybe that is why my front end sits so damn low. Everything all together came out to be $600 shipped, which included Skyjacker extended SS braided lines. I had to order those separate but wasn't a big issue. Hopefully I will get this project wrapped up this weekend.

P.S. I will definitely have before and after pictures.

I realized today that after this lift is finished, I may not be able to get the truck out of the garage without some creativity. ****.

Last night I attempted to remove rivets in the passenger side differential bracket as you have to reuse the stock one(which is beefy as hell). Those rivets were really in there, so I dropped the bracket off at my friends shop and came home to the bracket ready to be installed again..woot!

Got the front end wrapped up today. The alignment is terrible, going to get fixed on Tuesday. I haven't touched the rear yet, but I need to get some parts first.

Going to be placing an order tomorrow for 30/9.50/15 tires. Should sit up even higher.

The front end is really stiff.

It's a 4 cylinder, so I don't want to get big tires and kill the motor.

Exactly!

This is the ride height currently on flat ground.

I don't like the reverse rake that it has but it's still a cool little truck.

I don't either. I am going to get that taken care off once I finish inspection with it.

Looks good. Swap a 302 in it. I found a write up on it, and it's been stickied in the ford section.

Thanks! I've been reading up on the swap and the swap itself is not hard, I've done more complicated things. Only thing I still haven't much info on is keeping 4x4, which means what trans, transfer case, driveshafts, and rear to use.

Here's a pic from today with my buddies 96' 2wd Ranger on low pro tires.
