My day was going good until I let the BMW idle for a bit and it started to piss coolant. Stupid hose clamps.

maybe not the entire thing. but the column, or a portion at least

Well a buddy of mine is removing his straight pipe setup and is giving it to me for free, and since I don't daily the car I am putting it on.

Oh. BMW's aren't that much of a pita to work on, just when it comes to electrical components its tricky.

BMW's, especially E36's are mad simple to work on. I come from American cars. Trust me.
