i love this place... i stayed late yesterday to get a project done because a designer hadn't gotten the flash files to me... guess what... 5:45 rolls around and he delivers files that aren't working as expected/required... so the project is a no go for the day.

i was just asked if i could stay today to get it pushed and that i won't have the files till 5 (meanwhile i was told 5 yesterday as well). for ****s sake, no... i'm not staying. i stayed yesterday, and what happened? my time was wasted.

seriously, if someone is incapable of delivering the files when they're being required to then i'm not staying late, especially when there is yet another chance they won't be correct

i told them that i had a hooker coming over at 5:30 and i couldn't. I also reminded them what happened yesterday with me staying late for no reason. 5pm is my cut off unless there are issues with my code and it needs to be done.

i'm not going anywhere till my own business is going well enough.

i'll go on record as saying a number of the developers here would make much better project managers than the project managers are.

mainly because we have to deal with their shoddy management skills and basically manage project expectations.

such as me managing the expectation that i have to leave at 5pm so get the god damn designer (who i like personally, great guy) on the ball with his work EARLIER in the day.

I hope that I capable of writing what happened yesterday in the mall. It may have been the single funniest thing I experienced in the past few years.

As I was walking through Nordstroms at KOP to get to the parking lot. A man in his 60’s with hair and a very nice suit was with a young lady looking through dresses. Ato get the full effect of whats coming up you have to really take into account how the girl was dressed. She was wearing a micro mini denim skirt….so short that it was barley below her butt. She was wearing a black jacket above the skirt. She also had on black high heel boots that were above her knee. So was about 5’5” long blond hair and was tan. I didn’t see her face.
As I was walking past this couple shopping, a girl in her mid-twenties pushing a baby stroller was walking behind me in hearing distance. She was pushing a infant who appeared to be asleep and a 2-3 year old who was talking to her. As they passed the couple, the 2-3 year old says to her mom “Mom, she looks like a stripper.” At that point I could do nothing but bust out laughing. As I was laughing I turned to the mom and said that’s the best thing I heard in years. The mom was embarassed and said I wish she didn’t know that word.
I still cant help but laugh when I think about what happened.

i don't enjoy my three hour art class ever. and its worse tonight because i have to go home and spend my whole night studying for my calculus test tomorrow. i'm debating just writing calculus for every problem and walking out tomorrow lol.
