Jim, drop the car off at my place if you need to. I will tell the woman to hush if she wonders why it's sitting there. I have appointment scheduled for next Wednesday.

it's funny, I purchased a lens from a company 15 mins from my work. I had the lens delivered to my house (unaware of fedex's policy that any package with a declared value of 1k or more required a signature at the door)since i don't have that luxury to wait around for a package, they said that I can pick up the lens at their facility in North Wales, PA. That's an hour from my house. The seller's address is closer than the FedEx location. I am so very annoyed.

You'd think that with most of the workforce being first shift Monday to Friday, they'd come up with a different kind of system other than requiring a signature when they know there's a good chance that person will be at work when they attempt to deliver the package.

I just dealt with the same thing with my room mate's turbo. It's good in some cases that they don't just drop off the expensive stuff though. I don't think my friend would have wanted his new turbo sitting on the front porch all day with a huge Garrett logo printed on the box, in plain view 20 feet from a busy road.

Just made stuffed chicken with stove top stuffing, shredded cheddar cheese, tomato and paprika. Served with Spanish rice and cresant rolls. Delicious!

I agree about not wanting it left on the door step, I think a simple message saying something along the lines of "signature required upon delivery" while checking out / choosing a delivery address would be sufficient. I would then know to ship it to an appropriate address where I could full fill that policy. I don't think thats much to ask? I would have had the lens yesterday, now I won't till Friday and it's costing more. The kicker, again, is although I ordered this through amazon, the store is 15mins from my office. I could have picked the ****ing thing up.
