Heat shields or relocate, the voltage regultor, aka a frail piece of electronics is less than 5 inches away from a 600-900 degree ""LIQUID HOT MAGMA"" exhaust gases.

I use a saturn alternator never installed heatshields, and this alt is now on its way out. Heat shields will be getting installed when a new Saturn alt goes in shortly.

And the advance alterntors I wouldn't really trust either. Hit or miss with those things

I have the relocate, now i'm trying a satty alt with the sense wire hooked up. Lets see how well this works out.

I seen that red 1g on c/l posted elsewhere for 5k I believe, But he was having trouble selling it. Hope it sells, But the people who do want a 1g car don't want to pay thousands for them. I know there was a member on here that just sold a fully built one that looked 100% mint for less. It all comes down to what the buyer wants. If you find the right buyer, You can ask any price.

Just make sure you do not jump into the first one you go see, Even though it might be tempting.

Check dealerships aswell. You'd be suprised what they might have sitting in the back of the place. Last year I found a 1 owner northstar white 98' gsx. The minute I found it, I quick made the trip after hanging up the phone. Got there still in disbelief to my drem car (white 2gB gsx), Sitting behind the little car lot. One owner, Bone stock, No rust, Never modified. Needless to say, I sold it in under a year anyways, But I bought it for $5,900. Dealer did not really even no what they had other then an ''turbo car''. I sold it for $5,600 with an upgraded turbo and all the supporting mods, Still in mint condition. That was this past January-Feb.

Ebay, autotrader, cars.com , ETC. Craigslist is good and dsm websites aswell but when buying from those sites, You need to make sure you inspect it and make sure everything turns out ok.

I would say: Keep saving, And wait awhile. Twenty5psi has one with the lowest miles in the country. I know when he lists that up, you'll be wishing you had waited the wait!! Jumping into a car and then seeing one even better forsale a week-month later, Is such a bad feeling.

GIREVAD: That car looks great. Nice to see there is no rust on the strut towers either! I'm glad you finally found one.
