2011 Impreza WRX Ltd / 2012 Yamaha FZ8

So the oil filter spacer doesn't space the sensor enough to fit...unless i cut the exhaust heat sheild a little bit so the sensor can fit, which is the only option left at this point. I would have done it yesterday when I had the car on jack stands, however I only had one cutting wheel left for my dremel and its def going to take more than one.

Will post pics once install is complete.

...why did you decide to do the oil filter spacer Nick? The galley plug might have been easier. Especially if you have to cut up parts. (Not that you need the heatshield anyways)

Galley plug is really easy. I had an oil temp gauge on my wagon and used the galley plug w/ one of these adapters:

unfortunately guys the galley plug isn't going to work because the sensor is mechanical and it is bigger than your average sensor. When I use the oil galley plug underneath the alternator the alternator will not go back on lol.

And the other galley plugs won;t work either because this sensor is too big, im just gonna hack up the heat sheild, not that big of a deal...plus it gives me an excuse to use my dremel and cut things!
